Left Coast Guy 24 Posted January 15, 2017 I've been around here for a few years now, and for the most part scratched just about every itch you could imagine in the rep game -- I've got a couple watch boxes that would make Mr La Creme de Creme himself blush, but like most of us that means the lustre had faded a bit. Not much comes out these days that stirs my loins or has me drooling. That is until I took a trip to Vegas this week for work..... After a work dinner at Nobu, I caught a Panerai shop out of the corner of my eye in the forum shops, so I decided to stop in. From there the Cartier shop, then the Breitling boutique.....then I enccountered Mecca -- the massive Tourneau flagship store! HOLY. SHIT. (This is an older pic from google) This place is amazeballs! Every brand you can imagine, and more models of the elite brands than I'd ever seen in one place -- probably 30 VC models, at least the same number of Pateks, and double that in APs! I ended up stumbling on a friendly sales rep, and managed to try on a the new model VC Overseas Chrono big date and the VC Worldtimer, then a Patek Aquanaut and an AP 15400 blue dial. Anyway, after that trip I've certainly got the bug back.....only wish someone would rep that friggin VC chrono!!! But more than anything wanted to share with you folks that this is a must-see on your next Vegas trip. I worked in Beverly Hills for a few years and was no stranger to stepping into the many brand boutiques there, but this place was unreal -- there wasn't any brand that wasn't represented and it was a super cool experience. Its a pretty big place so you can walk around unmolested pretty easily.....but someone's going to come up to you at least once. I was just caught staring at the VC Chrono, so I asked the price.....and the lady opened the case straight away to look, before I could stop her. Then after that she asked if there were any other watches I wanted to try on.....so I tested her with a Patek and she took me straight there. After that, no one bugged me -- actually took the wife on a facetime tour of the place and no one seemed to mind. (She was calling expecting I was at the strip club....not sure if she was happy or not that I wasn't...) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
