reximda 0 Posted July 30, 2014 Flickr is a little bitch. They offer a ridiculous amount of free space to host photos (1TB), but they make you jump through a godawful interface to use them. This is how I do it. I'm on a mac, but I'm certain you can do the same with a PC. I've done it from an iPad as well with a few modifications. Locate the photo you'd like to use here. In this case, I found this one. Next, navigate to the download symbol in the bottom right corner and select "View all sizes." That will take you to a page that looks like this; Flickr will display a default size, in this case 1024x683, rather than the smallest or largest it has. Flickr has multiple versions pre-sized for you. I'm going to use the image that's being displayed now as that's big enough for a posting. You'll want to right click, or command+click (mac), or control+click(pc) ON THE DISPLAYED IMAGE and select "Copy Image URL" (I'm using Chrome. Other browsers may have slightly different wording. At this point, you have the image URL in your copy/paste buffer. Now it's time to head back to RWG. Follow the red arrow, and click the Insert picture button. It looks like a picture. A box will pop up that looks like this... Remember that time, a few steps back, when you copied that image URL and put it in your copy/paste buffer. This is where you paste it. (Cmd+V or Ctrl+V). There it is. And this is what it looks like when you're done; There are other ways to do this. Some even easier. This one though, has stood up to the constant interface mangling that flickr seems always to be up to.
