Zulu? Nato? Zulato or what?

Ok, I wanna put my Bond PO on a bond NATO strap, but I don't want any strap passing under the case because it's a hefty watch already. So does this mean I need a ZULU? Oh and I wanna fit a deployant clasp to it.

Does this exist, or do I have to mod something here?

Zulu straps are usually the two piece ones...personally I've never seen one that accomodates a deployant. Honestly though, I've had a PO on a NATO, and currently have a moonie on a NATO - neither have presented a problem. Even my Tudor - which sits high on the wrist anyway due to the lug design - works very well on a NATO.

Zulu straps function the same as NATOs. Both are one piece and function by passing part of the strap underneath the case to prevent losing the watch if a spring bar pops off. Zulu's tend to be thicker and their keepers are rounded and more sturdy than your typical NATO. That said, many ballistic RAF straps come in two pieces; here's an eBay store I've purchased from quite often with a decent selection: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ballistic-RAF-James-Bond-Military-G10-MoD-Watch-Strap-w-Nylon-Keeper-/261374571743?pt=US_Watch_Bands&var=&hash=item8272edc45d

Never seen one that accommodates a deployant though.

Yes I have never seen NATO with deployant buckle.

but there would not be a concern as NATO naturally is very thin compared to another style of strap, usually the leather NATO is just 1.0 - 1.2mm
