Anyone know a good place in Phoenix for Replica repairs

I used a place in Phoenix (East Valley), but they are over priced and jacked up a nice submariner of mine. Looking for some place local, reasonable and good at what they do.

Take a look at GemTime Watch & Jewelry service center over on Hayden in Scottsdale. Brought a watch in one time for some small work and he did a good job. Never took anything else back in but worth checking out.

Its always a difficult proposition to find a repair shop to work on reps, but worth it if you do the leg work. Think Richard Miami has a system to getting folks to warm up to the idea. I personally just walk in the front door, tell them about my situation (i.e. I got this watch, here's the issue), then ask if they'd take a look. The worst that happens is they say "no" and tack on some shitty judgmental comment. They can't call the cops on you or confiscate your watch (assuming you don't do something dumb like go to an AD). Akin to getting rejected by a girl....many fish in the sea.

Whilst I have NEVER been rejected by a girl................................... :P this is a good description of my method.

Just avoid ADs, go into the repair shop, politely ask if they mind working on chinese watches, and keep going until you find someone who will do it.

Easy stuff!

Hey thanks guys, I tried the nice guy approach and have have been shot down at a few places. Maybe be I did not smile enough, or do a little dance for them. I will try Gemtime Watch and see what they say. I don't see how buying a rep for $400 is stealing sales on $4000 or more watch and ruining the industry. I was in China about 13 years ago and I was brought to a factory that made the cases and bands for Swiss Army and Wenger watches. The Swiss found it more cost effective. Anyway I love my reps and they work great.

Did you ever find a repair shop in the Phoenix area? Moved here last year and am going to need one before too long.
