Moondustesp 134 Posted June 12, 2016 This is long overdue. I have had my black face steelfish for nearly a year now and still absolutely love it. I bought it from toro for the bargain price of 208 dollars plus shipping. On first impressions I was blown away and couldn't get over the fact that the watch wasn't genuine. The shear heft of this thing makes it all the more impressive. This watch has the "POS" movement which I personally haven't had any problems with. It is quiet, smooth, has a power reserve of about a day and half and most importantly keeps great time. Maybe I have just been lucky I dilont know but I would defo buy another with this movement. Which I did! A beautiful white face version from metalmicky (thanks micky) but I ended up selling it to a friend who loved it when he saw it. Overall it is very gen like with a Nuclear lume but theres a couple of things that could be improved. Firstly the depth of the engraving on the bezel could be deeper. I thought about getting a gen bezel but I don't want to go down the franken route. Also the clasp could be better. Dont get me wrong the bracelet is great and so is the clasp really but it could snap together better. I have improved somewhat but it is not perfect. Saying that my white face was very very good. I do also put mine on leather from time to time which really suits the watch so the clasp isnt the end of the world. Is this watch a super rep? I think so but what the fuck do I know. Heres some pics guys, have posted a few of these before sorry.
Daywatch 4 Posted June 12, 2016 Nice review. I have the same with the pos movement for 3 Years now. Some do changes to it but, like You, I consider this to be a superrep (and possibly the only/ the last) with this kind of overall quality level at bargain prices. It´s a lot of watch for the money:)

Dawg 24 Posted June 12, 2016 I thought I didn't like them and bought one on M2M just to see what the fuss was all about. Now it is the oldest rep in my collection and I love it!
Fg-75 0 Posted October 15, 2016 I had the gen one before and the only difference i can notice is the bezel
NCRich 13,714 Posted October 15, 2016 Its a rep, its pretty super. I have the white one with the POS movement from this batch. And this blue one from the 2012-13 batch with eta. Frankly I can't tell the difference in build. I'm sure the ETA is better than the POS. edit: neither are as good as the 2012-13 Swiss wolf
Fg-75 0 Posted October 15, 2016 Here is a photo of a gen, only the bezel is different
alan7890 0 Posted October 15, 2016 I got this one from toro also for 208 dollars, what is a pos movement that these have in them ?
Moondustesp 134 Posted October 15, 2016 Yeah the bezel defo is the only let down
NCRich 13,714 Posted October 16, 2016 I got this one from toro also for 208 dollars, what is a pos movement that these have in them ? http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=104215 Read and be afraid...........very afraid. I don't think it is as bad as all that. It isn't as good as a ETA clone, but it probably won't fail tomorrow. It may not fail for a long time, maybe years. No parts though and no servicing it. You can replace it with an eta if it fails.
Marcoman 0 Posted October 17, 2016 Took delivery of a steelfish in blue today.love it...only minor gripe is that the red automatic writing is very faint and difficult to make out...no biggie....got it with the superior 2824 movement...td kindly removed a couple of links for me with still a bit looser than I'd like. Tried the micro adjustment but couldn't get both sides to pop out at the same time...is there a trick to this? Using a safety pin....
Mr_B 2,401 Posted October 17, 2016 Great review mate, I really like this watch, wasn't the exact model I was after originally, as it looked small on the pictures, but on the wrist it's a beauty
MadButcher 0 Posted October 28, 2016 SOSF is classic and very universal watch, should be in every collection!
NCRich 13,714 Posted November 14, 2016 Just finished this. This is the older version. Bought this in 2012 I think from Robert. Sold it to another member a few months later. He just gave it back to me when it died. It was tired. New movement, polished and rebrushed case. Love this strap on it.
