Tudor Prince Date

I've gotten fascinated by TT watches and this looked to be an easy build to get one's feet wet. Its the Rafflesdial vintage Tudor case set/dial/bracelet with a 2824 movement. Basically just assemble it, and the detail is really, really good for the $. You can also toss a gen dial in this, or you can pick a bunch of different rep dials. Its just 34mm, but it feels more like a 36. Anyway I don't really go for anything bigger than 40mm so this is in my wheelhouse.

Good bang for the buck.

Very nice. Not that I have the biggest wrists (71/4"), but it's hard for me to go under 36 mm. now.

Raffles dial. Don't know that it would be worth it to change. The parts here are incredibly good for the $.

The dial does look very good. A gen linen dial would be $$$$$$$$

Hi Richard, really good looking watch. Can I ask how easy it was to assemble, very interested in doing one myself.

Thanks

A relatively easy build.  If you have some skill assembling.

I have never done anything like this before, but I'll give it a go.

Thanks

Lovely build..... Didn't know these came as a DIY. My SS with silver linen dial says hi! c2be0ad53fa4cfbaa420dcacd3fa2e20.jpg703a6b104a6ec7e2e681deff19dff81b.jpg8bcdd174f42c50df9b7e4a4c0b236b42.jpg

Ask raffles any questions.  He can supply the movement as well.  Tell him you want everything to build a complete watch.

Rich,

Looks great.

Did u use the raffles long tube hands or did you bend the minute hand up a little bit to clear the minute marks?

I built many of  these you really dont need long post hands. Normal 34mm tudor date hands that raffles sells fit fine and clear the markers easily.
