Help Removing Noob CRPO Bezel

Recommended Posts

MDK

I have just acquired a gen CRPO 42mm bezel, I am looking to drop this onto my NOOB CRPO.

I can get a tool from the bay to remove the bezel, is the NOOB CRPO gen construction or do I have to remove it another way ?

Thanks in Advance

Hey bud! From what I've seen yes the Noob is gen construction.. I've used this tool to remove the bezels on Omega's

http://www.esslinger.com/bezelremovertool.aspx

(That site is located in the US btw..I'm sure other sites closer to you off that tool)

It has a very similar construction to the tool that Omega uses

Which you can see on this page

http://www.ofrei.com/page1392.html

Personally I'm not a big fan of the Chinese made bezel removers that eBay offers..I've seen some that aren't aligned very well which if you don't catch before you use it can cause major damage.. Also you need to protect the watch case with some tape before you use the Chinese one..I like the fact I can just grab the bezel tool I have and grip the bezel and turn and lift and it comes right off :)

Just make sure you do it gently so that when the bezel comes off any springs that may be underneath don't go flying! :P (depends on the watch but most have click springs)

Good luck bud!!

Great exactly what I needed

So from what I understand, the tool allows you to get more purchase on the bezel and just twist it off with a lifting motion ?

There is a Guy UK based who is selling plastic tools, may pick one up.

No problem! ;)

Yup you got it! Just grip, twist, and lift! :)

That tool sure beats spending $800 on the one Omega makes huh!?! and to think the $20 one is pretty much the same just without the handle like attachment the Omega one has..

Best of luck to you!! If you need any more help let me know ;)

What do you know, I managed to pop the bezel off with my hands, grab the edge of the bezel, twist and lift (ignoring the tearing fingernail feeling) and pop off she comes.

Perfect no damage

How rude of him! Chase him down and beat upon him at once! Look forward to it. On RG, someone showed a little comparisson between the black bay blue bezel gen vs rep. Surprisingly the difference was quite large, apart from the pearls being obviously different, the gen looks more smoother, and is also a lighter shade.

Just received my BP LMPO and fit the Gen Bezel, the difference between the two is fairly significant.

I will post up a comparison later today after work.
