Higs 73 Posted March 14, 2015 I know we've got at least two, one in Canada, one in the UK, with another in its way to Sweden. Mine arrived this morning and I'm impressed with it. It's a big watch but feels just right. Mrs Higs was making egg mayonnaise for lunch so it seemed rude not to leave the watch in a bag with the eggs for 20minutes or so. The idea (and result) was not to give it a heavy patina but just to start the patina off a little, so it doesn't look so damned new. I also put it on a different strap - nothing wrong with the one supplied, I just prefer this one. Here are a few pics. As I take more, I'll add them into this album. And egg mayonnaise is normally a hard-boiled egg chopped up and mixed with mayonnaise. The teal is pretty loud so I am glad I got the black. Was thinking about using a teal keeper on the black rubber though. All three straps came with spring bars and their own buckles too which is nice. Same, not sure if the maroon rubber will be as loud as the Teal but from the shots on Makara;s FB page I reckon it wouldn't be something I'd pull off. Rubber formed to fit the case but the leather isn't so plumped up the extra for a black rubber also. The leather just looks to dinky on it. Would consider having a custom strap made to fit more like the leather but not really sure how it would look in the end.
