New 3714 from SWF (and maybe from ZF too)

Guys, I'm happy to announce that this new secs@6 movements are GOOD. Well, at least WAY better than the old ones. This one is based on the new spitfire series but without date. I just swapped to the gen dial and I'm super happy. Rep dial is very close but the only difference is the paint quality + the way it reflects. Somehow gen dial is glossy and matte at the same time. Really depends on the lighting but it's super hard to photograph. Dial is direct swap.

Very very very nice. Been hankering for one of these for a while but the gear train modification to move the small seconds kept me away, if they've done a proper job this time I have to have one!!!

Yes they did, finally some proper improvement. I'd say it should be as reliable as secs@12 but not as good as standard. Still, worth every penny.

Nice work! Fast too!

With the recent upgrades, the rep dial looks better and better. But, as OP, mentioned, the light reflection from the rep dial will never match the gen.

Looks great, love the dial. Thanks for posting the pics.

Are the new mods the jewels or is there more? Does the sub hand stutter?

Not only. The whole transfer gear train is totally different from the old one. Old one was done right below the dial with some hacky tricks. This one is done in much more correct approach. There is virtually no hand stutter that I can see.

The only remaining flaw (and probably unfixable) is the case height. It's of course barely visible but the gen is slightly slimmer, about 1mm I'd say. Nitpicking is what i'm doing :P Superb rep it became. Super happy with mine now.

Ehi G, would you mind to take the pic of the OP of this thread plus a similar one of that thread you did over the graphite treatment and put them both in a single reply so that the differences between the movements are more detectable?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Before there were 4 transfer gears trough the central part. Now there are only 3 and done completely differently.

How it's inside the new movement:

And the old one.. as you can see, much bigger mess and not jeweled:

Loving it!

Have you seen if the 2 and 3 gears are jeweled also below?

It would be good to have the TDs to have some way to differentiate it in their description... Like "jeweled sec @6 transfer gears" or so...

That's great Kenny. Thanks for the pictures. I will need to invest in one.

In fact, would be great if we could buy the transfer module separately...

Best sweep I've seen on a rep 3714 by quite some way. Thanks for the vid.
