How to fix a loose strap in an IWC deployment clasp

Hi,

Not so difficult... Rep deployment strap pins are smaller in diameter and may cause issues with some straps...

Dutchy

Just last week I 'lost' my 5007 due to a drop onto a tiled floor due to this exact issue, and OK a lack of due attention.

Love the elegance of the circlip solution. What I did was cut a 5mm diameter disc for a clear soda bottle and put a 1mm hole in the centre of it. At some point I will have to source a proper circlip to make a better job of it but the plastic disc is as invisible and works as well, just not as durable

Yeah, I have heard loads about this happening on all but a brand new gen strap/clasp.

Can you imagine a dropped gen due to this ? Ouch.

No glue! Not at 360€ for the strap and 400€ for the clasp...
