I ordered my first Rep yesterday from Trusty Time. I ordered the Deep Sea Dweller Blue SS/SS Noob V7 Ult SA3135. Does anyone have any feed back on this watch I should know? Anyone have any feedback on Trusty Time? Please someone make me feel better about this purchase lol. Thank you.

Trusty time has a feedback section listed, it's not hard to find

Andrew is the best! Just received my DSSD A2836 last week.

Don't worry about Andrew. The watch is TOP of the line!

I ordered the same from Andrew. QC was emailed quickly and got the watch in 5 days from date of order. Great TD.

Crown on the rehaut was off a little but got a local guy to service and fix.

My advice.....get a good service done as soon as you get it. Also do a spa treatment on the bracelet. After a clean, 24hrs in baby oil and it's super smooth.

I just received my QC pics and watch looks very nice to my very untrained eyes. I will do some research on the forum because I don't know what a spa treatment is but I'll find it. Thank you both for your kind words and I can't wait to sport this watch. One more question. Do you just take it to a watch repair place? Even though it's a Rep? Be nice I'm very new to this lol

You're better if politely asking a watchsmith if he / she will work on Asian movements or homage watches, some will be ok, some won't, personally I've found the smaller family run places etc seem to be welcoming where as big branches sometimes won't

Rep bracelets are rough as hell when you get them. Not the TD's fault, it's the way they come. My spa treatment is an hour in an ultrasonic cleaner (£20 off EBay) then put in a Ziplock bag with baby oil overnight. Really worth the effort.

Enjoy your DSSD!

BTW...do a bit of searching on the forum, you'll find a rep friendly watchsmith.

If you don't have an ultrasonic cleaner then bathing your bracelet in WD40 for a few hours, then rinsing in hot soapy water then the baby oil also does the trick!

Sounds crazy to bath it in WD40 and also Baby Oil. I sure hope y'all aren't pulling my leg lmao and now that I just read all these posts again I'm supposed to just take off the bracelet part and soak that in WD40 and baby oil. See how noob I am. I feel really like a dumbass now

Pop out the springbars, just the bracelet in the WD40, rinse in hot soapy water then a baby oil bath, I've done it on a few of mine, really comes up nice , only ever done it with stainless steel though, obviously don't put the watch head in there

All the advice you've been given has been valid. Don't mistake WD40 for a lubricant; it is primarily a solvent. The WD40 loosens and flushes out bits of steel from the bracelet, which are left there from the cheap manufacturing process. The baby oil is what makes the links move freely.
