purger72 0 Posted January 1, 2017 My last purchase in 2016 was this beautiful gen RW from Ashford.com. For starters have to say Ashford service was fantastic, fast shipping via UPS to Australia, Recived watch within 7 days. Another thing with their warranty if service or repair needed they offer $200 USD instead of sending watch back to them. Hopefully wont need to use that. Anyways been after this style of watch for some time now came accross this RW. Purchased it for $759 USD where next cheeper price was yomashop at $1059 USD. Here in Australia they sell at retail price off $2500 AU. Watch it self has RW 4500 modified Eta movement, AR coated Sapphire crystal front and Sapphire see thru case back. It is high beat 28800 movement. Thing I notice compare to reps is clarity of the Sapphire crystal, at times looks like its only dial there. Case is 39.5mm and 10.45 thick. Downside is their genuine leather strap. It is genuine calf croc embossed leather but looks terible. Dimensions are 20/16 mm replaced it with genuine croc in blue , makes a difference. Love the clean gullioche silver dial with big roman numerals, date subdial @6 and 28.5 days Moonphase in between 10/11 o'clock. So far runs acurate. Not to sure if is any othe Raymond Weil owners here. I know that is lots of contraversy if RW are fashin brand or not but watch looks off great quality. Few pictures below. Not the best picture sorry about that. If there is any other RW owners would nice to hear there thoughts about reliability or any other opinions on RW's watches and brand in general. Thanks for reading and happy new year to all.
greg_r 81 Posted January 1, 2017 My wife has a RW Don Giovanni. They make some very nice watches - I particularly like that moonphase, though. Not seen that one before.
purger72 0 Posted January 1, 2017 Ive seen few RW Don Giovanni , they are nice pieces. Yea Moonphase is really nice watch. There is similar style Breguet rep with Miyota 9015 I was considering when came across RW. RW maestro collection is very interesting . Their best watch is Maestro Phase de Lune Semainier . But out off stock . Only available for actual retail price here in Oz , over $5000 AUD . Even though it has lots off complications it doesnt seem to be worth the quid.. Joma had it at around half of retail price. http://www.jomashop.com/raymond-weil-mens-watch-2859-stc-00659.html

gavmeister 1 Posted January 1, 2017 I have a Freelancer....they aren't the fancy brand name like some of the others but still great quality. Even though I got a decent discount on mine I still; feel I paid too much! Might trade it in on a genuine Zenith or IWC......
NFleischer 4,355 Posted January 1, 2017 Congrats, very nice watch. Not a Michael Kors type fashion brand at all. I love the Nambucco chronograph as well
RUSH2112 11 Posted January 1, 2017 How do you document the service or repair to get $200? Sounds like an easy way to get $200 possibly.
purger72 0 Posted January 1, 2017 How do you document the service or repair to get $200? Sounds like an easy way to get $200 possibly. I would say proof / recipt needs to be provided to Ashford to claim up to $200. Thanks for the nice comments guys. I get where you coming from Gavmeister, RW is not known as some others but for the price of 759 I think it is worth the money.
