htitan29 0 Posted March 25, 2017 After getting my heart broken from a scam website, I joined the RWG forum and was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming knowledge and advice given to me by fellow members. As a replica newbie, I have been on the search for an IWC Mark XVI 3255-01 replica for some time now. I was mainly drawn to this watch for it's case size (39mm) that suits my smaller wrist and the overall simplicity of the design. I did my research and contacted several TD's before choosing the MK Factory version from Mary. Her correspondence was quick and professional -- she was with me every step of the process. I was delighted to receive the watch within 5 business days and it was packaged securely and carefully. My only complaints about the watch is the quality of the strap, a slightly tilted dial, and the lack of engravings on the A2892 rotor. I've already swapped out the strap (most replica straps are pretty bad anyways), I'm planning on slowly getting genuine parts (starting with the dial), and no one can see the movement unless they open the case back so these aren't deal-breakers and I can live with them. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of the watch and I'm already searching for my next replica! Here is a little wrist candy to start off the weekend: If anyone has advice with regards to genuine parts and mods for this model I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance! GT86 0 Posted March 25, 2017 Very nice choice! I really like these, congrats and enjoy in good health! Unfortunately I can't be of much help with modding, although I'm sure others (GenTle), will be along soon with some sound advice...
adaptive 0 Posted March 25, 2017 Nice piece mate. I've got a Mark XVIII coming in from MK
GenTLe 1,485 Posted March 25, 2017 although I'm sure others (GenTle), will be along soon with some sound advice... Uh, not for franken parts. I found the idea to spend (a lot generally) money on frankens pretty stupid actually. Funny thing is that I'm inside a Whatsapp group of guys from the whole world that very often deal with these parts (mainly Pam, AP and Rolex ones), but many of them are "big money mates", totally another level from me. By the way, OP, take care: I don't know how you can see it tilted (from your pic it doesn't seem so), but even if it really is, if the date is centered as it is and you put inside a "non tilted" dial, then your date will be too high or too low. Which is pretty worse!
GT86 0 Posted March 25, 2017 Agreed. Also, I think the consensus for these are that MK are regarded as 'super rep'. In which case the aesthetic effect of gen parts would be nominal?
ryaku 3 Posted March 30, 2017 Gen crown, sec hand and date wheel are not too expensive upgrades and a significant improvement. Especially crown and date wheel.
porschespeedster 19 Posted March 30, 2017 man, what a watch. in my opinion the best IWC. this one beats even the newest models with that dial symmetry.

Prelude79 0 Posted August 16, 2017 This is the EXACT watch I joined this Damn Forum to check on. How is it running for you? Any new impressions or thoughts on it since youve had it?
Prelude79 0 Posted August 16, 2017 Whats interesting is that there are several Higher end Reps of this Model. This one with a 2824-2 movement: http://www.ttw-1388.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_191&products_id=5654 and then this one with a 2892 movement: http://www.ttw-1388.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_191&products_id=10325 Whats interesting is that both of them have the double sided AR crystal, the insignia on the Rotor and all have very close to if not the same outward descriptions. I can't tell a difference between them. There is the MK-Factory version which seems to be the gold standard, but then there is another version of it that costs more....so confusing.
