Fell in love with Franck Muller in 1998

I was on a road trip in Germany with my now ex-brother-in-law. We stopped in a city called Baden-Baden. Everything was closed by the time we got there but you could smell the affluence in the air. This is where my love for watches began.

We stopped by the window of a fine watch dealer and I saw these ridiculous watches. They were Franck Muller's with their 12 monkeys numerals. This is when I learned that large sapphires are cultured and cut for the purpose of scratch free watch crystals. I grew to love the bold almost tacky look of them. Afterwards I would go into boutiques and try them on whenever I could. I promised myself I would own two in ten years.

I was poised to be famous a few years later. Lost record deal after record deal. I had a popular podcast before Joe Rogan knew what one was. Record Labels payed to move me from city to city. Shit happens, Rick Rubin fired my A+R man, and that dying business devours pushovers like me to begin with.

The point is, I've grown to love fake veblen goods more than the real thing. I love the story of the man Franck Muller more than spending 30-60k, because it is a story of success wether he made a buck or not. So something heavy on my wrist that most people cant tell the difference that ticks. That's what I want. Most people don't even know who or what a Franck Muller is, but those who do will certainly look at me funny, and I'll say either "of course it is" or "its a fake" with an ambiguous wink.

My point is. I have been looking and researching for a week now. I still don't know who to trust. or what is the most bang for my buck. I want a stainless automatic. I dont want crocodile skin or crazy numbers. and because it's my first one I want to spend under 200. if I like it i immediately want a fancier one for more.

but gosh darn it. all spelling and punct's asside. because ive got you reading this far. im just going to type fast now. im kindof obsessed so if someone could please help me find a goshdarn watch that will satify that wont take weeks to get here. because I fancy guitars, airguns, knives and records/players and leather jackets all about the same. point is i cant move on till i have some smooth ticking Franck Muller looking monstrosity on my wrist. I'd prefer a working chrono, but ill take something simpler. i just want a white/silver face. I want a good one. one Muller himself would sort of shrug at. thank you.

I'm not an expert on these watches but I once had a black dialed Casablanca that was impressive. Very weighty and eye catching. Just not my style so I moved on. The crazy hours are very popular. Check out the links to the trusted dealers here and see what they have.

Head over to RWI and look up user elloello. He's the resident Muller man and can get you a great piece. I think he has one available now on M2M sales.

Good Luck... & F#*k Rick Rubin and the beard he rode in on.

There was this crazy roulette wheel version that was repped recently that was quite interesting...

but gosh darn it

No need for such strong language. Have a look through the link below to see what you like, who has what and where they got it from. I only have one FM, bought years ago and it (Crazy Hours) is still going strong.

I agree with RussP. Talk to ElloEllo. He's the FM guy around here.

did someone say Franck Muller :) did someone say dusty old records , :) in all fairness it's been a good year for FM reps :)

Big & bold there is a few out there :) With your budget on your first FM , I would suggest: Tim panda watchfinder & Mary Watches is good at seeking out some nice FMs and both TDs on here, but if you get stuck on anything hit me up....

Welcome ;)
