epalanb 1 Posted June 2, 2017 I just wound up a pilot type 20 thinking that I have not worn it in a while and that I would wear it today. After about 2 seconds I thought better of it and the LOUD ticking reminded me of why I have not worn it much. Is there a way to make these things quiet or is that just something you have to live with? I just wound up my A 6497 on my pam 111 and it is about half as loud as this old ETA 6497. Also my molnija pocket watches that I bought for conversions to Rolerai's are quite loud too.
edwinowl 180 Posted June 2, 2017 You have to remember these are old pocket watch movements mostly Also if they're not quite set up there could be some feedback from the banking pins. In general yes they are loud, I love mine
