Breitling Pro 3 diver strap short review & Springbars help?

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys,

Today i just received my new Gen Breitling pro 3 diver strap for my Super Ocean Steelfish, for substitute the old one pro 2 diver strap, who became "harder" and "smelly" after 6 years.

I bought the watch a few moths ago, watch was basically brand new even if it has 6 years and the seller told me it was used at least a dozen of times.

Just some point on the strap:

Softness

-rubber is really soft, softer than Squale ( who i think still made THE BEST rubbers strap i ever had) softer than Seiko and quite comparable to Isofrane -maybe softer than this also- i sold my isofrane so i can't compare to it.

Smell

Well, smell isn't good i mean is "neutral"

The best smell i found in a bracelet was on Squale with a lovely Vanilla smell who last for 2 years before i sold it (the baddest think i could ever did, i still regret about that), also using it for diving and swimming during summers.

Wearability

It really let the watch sit good on the wrist and is really "stealth" as is really comfortable and it can be compared to isofrane and squale even if squale have different design with those "wave" near the watch. It feels more like to wear a light leather strap than a gum strap.

Now some question to you expert, breitling Springbars or at least the one i found on the watch looks "slight and weak" .

Any suggestion for where i can get quality springbars?

Here some photos !

Thanks

Strap looks great really suits the watch. As for spring bars not sure maybe try AD. Enjoy your watch :)

Looking good, can't you just buy some springbars at you're local jewellery/watchsmith store.

That's a fantastic combo, really suits the watch :) as for your spring bars like the previous 2 suggestions - or look on the bay? Enjoy wearing in good health ;)

I would just make sure you get 1.5-1.8mm spring bars ideally the latter, a lot you get on Ebay are cheap and only around 1mm. You could go up to 2mm bars but you need to be sure the strap can take them not all are suitable for 2mm bars
