wellesson 0 Posted August 23, 2016 Hello! Got a noob CrPO 42 and i would like a solid caseback instead of the transparent one, anyone know where i could find one that fits ? And i'v been searching for a guide how to seal (glue ?) the HE valve propperly, could anyone point me in the right direction. Does it need to be done from the inside ? I dont rly like to remove the movement, i have fucked up a couple of times and it suck's when the keyless stops working.
jeffc83 0 Posted August 23, 2016 (edited) Not sure about the first question. I used Marine Goop the first few times and since it worked well, I still do. I just unscrewed the valve, covered the threads, re-screwed and let it dry. I have a waterproofer tester and it passed 5ATM. I'm sure the best way to do it is to remove the back and movement but screwing up the keyless works isn't hard to do and as a watchmaker myself, it's BS when it happens man! Now the proper way would be to seal the entire unit on the inner rim along with the threads on the outside....your right, the valve doesn't come out much so that's a PITA already! When I did it, I just used a toothpick to apply the stuff. Funny enough, the damn valve worked on my DSSD, lol. Edited August 23, 2016 by jeffc83

jeffc83 0 Posted August 24, 2016 I've always said "test before submerging in water" myself but they do and have waterproofed them well in the past; I've purchased well over 20 and not one failed the test. (I test to 5ATM)
