Noob ceramic Sea-dweller 116600 v2 SA3135 (picts inside)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I just wanted to share the photos of the new ceramic sea-dweller which I bought a month ago.

There are lots of thread about the ceramic sub but very few about the SD.

This watch is beautiful, I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

So far, the SA3135 that this watch has is working great, the winding is smooth and the timekeeping is good.

I've seen other dealers sell this with A2836 movement, if you prefer a proven movement compared to the SA3135.

That's it for now, I hope you liked the photos.

Lookin' goood.

Love how date window cutout is beveled. Really noticeable on this one.

Just one thing.. (I am not guru for SD)

Yeah, the crystal is higher on sea-dwellers than the sub, it just looks exaggerated on close-up shots but it's just nice in the wrist. But maybe, the rep crystal is mm taller than the gen, based on internet photos.

Very nice. Bezel insert and pearl look almost gen. I remember the V1/V2 ceramic sub :giggle:

Would you mind saying what price you paid for this? I'm looking for either this or a similar submarine one and yours looks great!

thanks

Yeah, the bezel and pearl looks great, the bezel click is amazingly smooth as well.

Oh I used to have one of those V1 ceramic sub from few years ago, the pearl has improved a lot since then. :D

Nice one madcat. I'm not a big fan of Rolex divers, but a mate picked up one of these recently and it really looks/feels like quality. Enjoy it!

thanks G, yeah I'm quite happy with this watch, it feels great on the wrist. First purchase I've made after few years of taking a break from the boards.

Good to see you again. :)

I have this to, it outshines the v7 in my opinion, the bezel colour and click is miles better, it's'smoother' all over............I had the dial made Matt by Kenny as well like gen.......probably my closest rep after my black bay

Setting the time is same as per gen, all my other watches are ETA based and this is backwards.

Hi @madcatlancelot, I'm buying the same watch from Watchoutlet... I'm in the QC photos phase... in your opinion, how close to gen is it?

Other question, did you do any mod in the bezel insert? look well with a touch of silver...

Regards

hi Mammut0202, I'm not familiar with Watchoutlet, I didn't see them in the Trusted dealers list, but anyway IMO this watch is very close to the gen "except" for the dial. The older release of the gen 116600 has a visible matte dial but the recent ones look a bit glossy in some angles.

Thanks for the comments, no modifications done on this one. :)
