Just a wee bit of advice , Have you tried one of these before?

They are a good looking watch but I always found them a little top heavy , I find the Sea Dweller more comfortable to wear.

If you are new to them , then maybe pick up a used one in the M2M sales or try a cheaper DSSD maybe with a 21j movement.

I have the DSSD 21j and i am getting ready to buy the A2836. Personally i think is the best looking watch!

I think the gen Sea dweller Vintage is 40mm, and the Deep Sea Dweller 4000 gen is 44mm, and I'm guessing that's why the Vintage Seadweller is more comfortable to wear. Both watches are thicker than the sub and therefore sit higher up. I'm trying to figure out what REP to buy, and I've read all the reviews from the RWG Best Reps Database posting. So Demis21 has the 21 jewel DSSD and is looking to buy the 2836. Demis21, what models (factory and version) do you have? I heard the NOOB is good, and would love to hear if there i a standout above the others? Not counting BK of course... he's in a leage of his own.

I love that model. Twas looking at it for myself. I thought the gen only came in black dial though, am i wrong about that?

Demis21.. take a look at this thread..

How big is your wrist? Mine is 7.5 inches or 195cm.

I'm thinking i might need to go with the Vintage size... because I'd like to wear it often.

But damn.. that one you posted sure is nice... decions, decisions.

I would have to agree that the Deep Sea Blue is top heavy. It is not one to wear everyday (maybe once or twice a week).

If you have a larger wrist the watch is super comfortable, I have an 8 inch wrist.

I like the vintage but not like the Deep sea. That blue black transition is awesome.

I think your wrist is going to be fine for the Dssd!

Good luck!

Ok... have you looked at this one? A few more bucks, but watch the video... the clasp on the bracelet looks great. It's $438 US buckaroonees before the discount of 15%. It has the 3135 movement..

Its the same watch but with an unreliable, unrepairable movement.

I have looked almost all of them on all TDs. It s up to you what you want to spent! I think the A2836 is fine.

Yeah, based on what you and Duzza said, i guess the 2836 in a Noob v7 is the way to go...

I got the noob v7 with the sa3135 and it is a beauty! Keeps perfect time (but I have only had it four days) . No one that has seen it can believe it isn't genuine...it just looks and feels that good.

If you want to be as gen as possible the sa or yuki 3135 movement dssd is the only way to go. Good luck...oh and I payed 438.00 including shipping for mine!

One tip: BK which it's an expert on Rolex Mods and a TD, always use Noob 2837 for his mod rolex which for many are the best around. He could help you decide the right version for your pocket

The dssd noobfactory v7 with the sa3135 is the way to go. It is 428.00 and looks almost gen. The sel are a bit off, the pearl is a bit to the right, the markings in the ceramic bezel are a shade dark and not quite as deep as gen.

Honestly...99% of people will not be aware of these small things. Over a dozen people have seen and commented on my watch. Three people asked to hold it. Every one of them thought it was the real thing and were shocked to find it was a rep.

I own my own business and have several houses that I rent out. People know that I could buy a gen. Of course my friends also know me and that I spend my money wisely so buying a 14k dollar watch would be a strange thing for me to do.

It's like this. If you like a watch then buy it and wear it. Just remember that no matter how good the rep is people will weigh it against your understood income level (if they know you) . People do notice your watch if it is something like the dssd...it is hard not to notice. If you have a McDonalds lifestyle and are trying to pass off a 14k watch as gen it probably won't work out!

I would only buy with the reproduction 3135 movements. If you want the most accurate then they are a must have!
