plankton 1 Posted August 1, 2015 Morning Gents! I did want to share this find that I must say I'm pretty happy with. I found a Heiden watch winder that runs on DC so it can make a home in my safe. I've had Pangaea winders before but they had only AC which my safe has no AC plug in the interior, and for the AC watch winders I always thought they more or less gave the thief a box to carry out the door, so I did away with those and kept the nice stuff in a box in the safe. Let me preface this: Rolex and Omega recently both told me the movements would benefit from a winder------------ that's the only reason I got it, for those 2, I don't give much of a shit if the Asian movements are on a winder or not plus they are always M2M'd so fast once I finish them. Well here is the excitement, reviews on this new Heiden say it will run for 3 months on each battery change. SWEET. As I said I only have 2 watches worth being on a winder so I got the HD 010, perfect size for my 2 favorite watches. $179 and it is silent not like those Pangaea's that sound like a constant squeaky door. plankton 1 Posted August 1, 2015 Oh I forgot to mention---------------- some of the other winders I had housed 2 watches in each spindle. After a while I noticed the had marks from touching each other while winding. If your gonna do a winder I'd stay away from the ones that hold 2 each.

TheSav 2 Posted August 2, 2015 If you had to choose between the rolex and omega, which would win out?
plankton 1 Posted August 2, 2015 If you had to choose between the rolex and omega, which would win out? If I ever do sell it will be the Rolex. The Omega, IMO, is finished far better and I like the Omega bracelet better also. The only thing I would have to admit is the 3135 movement is amazing.
