2016 LMPO reviews??

Recommended Posts

JonnyJabs

Are there any reviews out yet on the new 2016 version of the LMPO? I have been in touch with Mary who has it available. I have an 8 inch wrist though and I'm concerned that the 42mm will be too small and that a 45mm crpo may be better. If the quality of the New LMPO is higher than that of the crpo than I may overlook the size. Sorry.. I'm kinda thinking out loud.

I have not seen a review yet. I am eager to see one.

This is a 2015 which I was lucky on. It has red second hand and the lume is not that sloppy at all, only the tiniest of overspill on 2 markers. It is a great rep as it is truly stunning, but a lot more blingy than the CrPO, but i do find the CrPO more comfortable to wear. I would not say the quality is higher than the Noob CrPO as the build quality on the CrPO is superb. My LMPO failed the WP test as the case was poorly constructed. Sorted now.

Considering it is such a popular rep I still do not get why Noob have not gone ballwz out to get it right. But no mater is is still beautiful, but if you want a daily beater, I would recommend the CrPO.

I have a 7.75" wrist btw.

Didn't do a review yet but here's some quick feedback in Mary's section that I did, including some pics

I can't say anything about the CrPO but I love my LMPO

Here's a quick wristy that I took that can give you an impression (I have a 6,75" wrist and it's about as large a watch as I will go)

I'd be curious if anyone has both, what their impressions are. I've been on the fence ordering one. i understand that there have been some issues where some pieces do not have the ZrO2 above the handstack. Also, from what I read, the CrPO's bracelet is better design as it's got screwed links vs pins (this is correct per gen). I'll probably take the dive after the holidays as this has been on my want list for a while.

The Gen LMPO has push pins not screws so the rep is correct. I think the prob with the Zr02 is that it is hard to see so people get freaked out when it looks like it is missing on the QCs but I bet it is there alright. The CrPO bracelet is far superior.

And the bloody morons didn't find any red paint, so they just used orange for the second hand tip...

I can't believe that this watch is getting so much hype. They just made the same crap they made last year, with no improvements whatsoever. But as long there are enough sheep...

Mine has the Zr02 text but I saw pictures that has it 100% missing. Advice is to specifically ask your TD about it.

The bracelet is indeed a total bitch with the pin/collar system for which you need special tools. Then it's really easy.

Example of said tool (around € 15):

watchpinremover.jpg

Only flaw on my watch is the orange seconds tip which I agree is stupid and they could've easily fixed that. I'm assuming they had a bunch of CrPO second hands on overstock which they decided to use. It doesn't bother me one bit. Other flaws can be in lume application but I asked my TD for a good example ang she sourced a good one.

Initially, I wanted a Noob CrPo on bracelet but they were sold out. I think both are really good but I like the closed caseback on the LMPO and that did it for me.

Good luck, I suggest researching a bit more. They are both awesome watches

I would recommend soaking the bracelet in oil for a bit before removing the pins. They can be really tight. I go for the metal pin remover as the plastic one can break under pressure or maybe that is just me lol I have been through 4 of them. Gently does it :)

I think I'm kind of set on the 45mm. I do love that shine of the liquid metal though. Just don't want to regret getting the smaller one later.

Although.. it doesn't look so small on yllkelp's wrist. I'm at a loss right now.

It will look small. I have a 7.6 wrist and now that I am used to ~44mm watches it effectively seems a bit small for me.

The 45mm sits better on me I have to admit. But I am used to wearing 40mm Rollies too. So 42mm does not seem too bad.

I have an 18cm ( 7.1 inch ) wrist and this is what a 42mm CrPO looks like on it ( the watch is still in plastic and unsized but it gives you an idea ). I believe it's a bit small for an 8 inch wrist..

I wonder if there's some color blindness or something over there; the Planet Ocean GMT deep black red is actually... very orange.

I decided on the 45mm crpo with silver numerals. I received qc pics today and everything looks good. I also ordered the extra rubber strap. The rubber strap they are sending has white stitching on a black strap which I find a bit odd, as most of the photos of the gen on a rubber strap are with black stitching. Any thoughts on that?

Probably you're paying them too much.

Hello all. I finally received my crpo 45mm. In my opinion everything is good except for the pearl. It kinda looks like either the lume got onto the ring around the pearl or the ring is missing some of its metal color. In the dark the lume looks fine. What do you think?

Hi nice looking PO. It does look a bit strange around the pearl. As if the lume has sunken at the centre. Was this noticeable on the QA pictures from the dealer?

You may find a decent bezel that you can replace on fleabay etc.

Wear the omega with healt buddy.

Yeah the 43.5mm blue dial planet ocean has been repped; although im not sure any of the reps are true 43.5mm or only 42mm and 45.5mm (easy for factory to just use old CrPO cases) as its full SS instead of TI like earlier blue dial Planet Oceans
