oblacone 0 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) Hello RWG! This is my first post here and i decided for it to be a review. I'm a really big noob so my review is not going to be so stellar as a lot of the reviews are here, but i just thought i would post it anyway. I ordered a black a datograph and this was before i knew about the forum, so it was not from a TD but still i got it for a good price and shipping and all was good When i first got the watch it was just AMAZING but upon closer inspection i noticed it was missing a screw on the back. A little sad about that fact i contacted the people who sold me the watch, and they asked if i still had the screw. I thought obviously not since its not in the watch, but when i looked in the bag it came in, I found a small screw so all was well. Anyways here are some pictures of the watch... im not a good photographer, sorry... plus its just from my iphone so it not the best quality, but i jut coulnt nail it with my DSLR here you see the... well i have no clue what it is, the Seagull ST 19? the Venus 175? The lemania movement? im guessing it is actually called the Seagul ST 19, but i read mostly lemania, ANYWAYS! This movement is great so far. I've had it for about a week and its 4 - 6 seconds fast, which im totally okay with, i actually like that it is a bit fast, because that means that the more i let it tic without setting the time,in about a month, i will be 1 minute earlier to where ever than before Now ill just post some random pictures - i should probably add some pictures of the strap and all, but i just cant get it right. sorry. I like almost verything about the watch, the only slight problem is the strap, i dont like it that much and the buckle has this sharp line to it, wich i dont know why is there... but it is really sharp! Here is a blurry picture. I changed the buckle to something more smooth and the strap shall remain semi crappy until i find a good place to get straps Thank you for reading this post and i hope to be making more soon! Greetings from Norway OH! and i forgot to add the differences between the Gen and the rep... well the rep look good, but it is obvious it is fake, but i dont mind, the rep is a nice watch in itself, the gen has the steel subdials and blue hands, which is cool cool, but i thing it looks more conservative with just black. and i like it Edited September 5, 2018 by oblacone
scamperthecat 0 Posted January 11, 2013 Great review, made me laugh. Enjoy the watch!
myaz 3 Posted January 11, 2013 Thanks for the review. You did manage a few nice pictures. Lange makes its own in house movements and as you said, there's not enough demand to go through the trouble of duplicating them. great pick up. Perhaps you could file down the sharp line on the buckle.
oblacone 0 Posted January 11, 2013 I just changed it, i would prefer a deployment buckle...but i dont know if it is possible to buy separate from the watch
oblacone 0 Posted January 11, 2013 Here are my DSLR Attempts, seriously how do you all get such great photos? if my DSLR camera cant do it...is a normal point and shoot camera better?

richardcstan 0 Posted April 11, 2013 Is this a different model of the Datograph or is it the rep is completely out? On the gen the XII mark should not be there and in its place is the calendar window is this correct? Please enlighten me. Thanks
Wriggles 12 Posted April 11, 2013 It's a rep not a gen, there will be flaws, such is life

barnezy318 0 Posted April 18, 2013 Hi, I just wanted to know how you're getting on with this. Is the movement still working OK? Looks like a complicated movement, and I doubt the attention needed to ensure it's reliability is put in for a $400 watch.
DejaWho 0 Posted April 24, 2013 Here are my DSLR Attempts, seriously how do you all get such great photos? if my DSLR camera cant do it...is a normal point and shoot camera better? Try using a tripod? Hi, I just wanted to know how you're getting on with this. Is the movement still working OK? Looks like a complicated movement, and I doubt the attention needed to ensure it's reliability is put in for a $400 watch. This similar version is only $168: You can see it here: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=40543
