Martin72 1 Posted October 19, 2012 The very fact that I'm asking the question means there's some major alarm bells going off but the prices are very good and you boys are the experts, so http://www.luxurytimemart.com/ Whilst looking for a treat gen for my 40th this has suddenly sprung up in the Google Shopping results, so it's a new website and it's very cheap. Personally I wouldn't buy from it as things stand, opinions from you all?
edwinowl 180 Posted October 19, 2012 Martin you know the answer. Why you asking. Not a TD.
Novum 0 Posted October 19, 2012 Martin you know the answer. Why you asking. Not a TD. Correct me if I'm wrong but he is talking about gens...or do you buy gens from TDs also?
Martin72 1 Posted October 19, 2012 Exactly and I quote myself "Whilst looking for a treat gen for my 40th" I wouldn't be paying £1500 for a rep Breitling
Novum 0 Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) Exactly and I quote myself "Whilst looking for a treat gen for my 40th" I wouldn't be paying £1500 for a rep Breitling I don't know about this website...but do they offer paypal? The prices seem to be...well, very nice - lets put it that way Don't know if I'd risk it. Contact them, see if they accept paypal. Ask around and try to find reviews of the seller and bring the watch to an AD after you get it. I usually buy gens from dealers I know personally. Sometimes you can talk the price down a bit then Edited October 19, 2012 by Novum
jeffw69 0 Posted October 19, 2012 Well, on their "about us" page, they list: LuxuryTimeMart.com 993 Lenox Drive Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 Although, when doing a google search, there are many businesses, law offices, etc. at that address, but they are not listed as being there. Something fishy about this site to me.
dalboy 2 Posted October 19, 2012 Dont touch em with a barge pole.............find a AD and do a deal.. Dal..........
genoint 51 Posted October 19, 2012 I didn't look too deep, only looked at Ebel and the prices for those are cheaper on Amazon. But nothing about that site screams real. Call the number, the message states "thanks for calling Watches on Sale." Cannot get anyone on the phone, have to leave a message. If it appears too good to be true, it usually is. Martin72 1 Posted October 19, 2012 £1500 for a Superocean Heritage was just too good I felt, worth sharing all the same as people come here for advice on avoiding scams and this just seems more than a little fishy!
Del 4,485 Posted October 19, 2012 Normally, if it looks too good to be true then it probably is. I've heard good things about Swiss Watches Direct though:- http://www.swisswatchesdirect.co.uk/swisswatches/breitling_mens_watches_superocean_heritage_superocean_heritage_46.html
richardm1142 0 Posted October 19, 2012 Here in the UK, last Christmas, admittedly 38 but a nice price from an AD http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=23337&hl=%2Bwatches+%2Bswitzerland+%2Bheritage&fromsearch=
Bobbylah 135 Posted October 19, 2012 Hell, worst case you pay with a CC, take to an AD upon receipt and verify gen. If not, file dispute. Personally, I would go the barge pole route.
nicholastedesco2005 0 Posted October 19, 2012 the price ringed my bells also. then i asked a friend to go to their office to pick it up the watch. they only have about 20 ) watches there. they managed to ship my watch within 10 days. disapointing...
Martin72 1 Posted October 19, 2012 Indeed Del SWD was on my shortlist of legit looking websites to either buy from or use as leverage in the high street And Richard, your avatar is epic! I wish I could dance like Turk!

NFleischer 4,355 Posted October 19, 2012 Are they new or used? You're not going to get a new Rolex for 35% off
Martin72 1 Posted October 20, 2012 Looks like the guy who owns the website also runs a scam guitar website as well http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaster-discussion-forum/348336-site-legit-update-appearently-not.html So steer well clear (as if we didn't know already!)
