I was wondering what luxury watch has been replicated the closest cosmetically. It looks like some brands would be easier to replicate than others. The Panerai models seem like some of them would be easy to rep.

Take an advice - read our threads for a week, or, better, for two, and get some knowledge, mate.
Good luck!

AP diver V3

PAM 127

PAM111 V3

PAM 005

Pam 243L

HUBLOT BB V6

Good starting points, there are many more but read the review sections on each brand - also check out Ales ultimate pam guide on RWI - all the info is here but you've got to put in some time reading. Good rule of thumb is that the price of a watch will give you a clue - In the end they are replicas and will have some flaws. The more time you take to research the happier you are going to be with your purchase.

Like Luth and Baxter said, you really have to put in some time researching the board. In your best interest.

There's a lot to learn - never stop really. The search button on this forum is excellent.

Agree with Baxter as well about the Ales Panerai Rep. Guide on the RWI forum and the watches he suggested.

Good Luck!

In my experience the Rolex Explorer 1 rep is a great copy of the Gen. I have both, the rep having an ETA movement, so I am able to compare directly. I keep my gen in mint condition by not wearing it much but wear my rep on a regular basis.
The photo below could be better but here they are side by side. Any guess as to which is which?

Gen on the left. I sold my exp 1 a few weeks ago, lovely stunning 98% rep, just too small for me :(

Cartier Santos XL - there's a rep made of mostly gen parts. Costs $1600 though :)

Sorry guys---the gen is the one on the RIGHT. I'd be interested to know why you both thought otherwise. Whatever, just shows how good these modern reps are even allowing for the poor photo.

The 12 Marker lines up better on the rep than the Gen in that case

Just try and find the best sub. You'll be happy and will be able to report back as to where best sub can be found.
