Pam 111 v3 Noob from Torro - 6 weeks in

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This forum was a great help when I was researching.

I said I would post pics, so I am here to make good on my side of the deal.

I went on Holiday just after getting the watch, so you can see it after a few weeks wear.

I hope these photos post correctly - please let me know if I have done anything incorrectly.

My PAM 111 v3 from Torro (with Asso strap also from Torro)

The only prop I had handy was my daughters teddy!

This shows the strap off nicely, I really like the slight colour variance. You can see the cotton fraying slightly, but it all looks great.

The front of the watch - it is a thing of beauty

One slight issue can be seen here - the screw holding the strap on undoes itself slightly over time. Nothing a twist of a finger nail doesn't sort. I guess if I get a Pam screw driver then I could stop this occurring?

The back, including the lovely movement. To all of you worrying about swan neck screw length - don't! I started getting too picky, and was worrying about the gap in the QC picks. I needn't have worried, it is VERY hard to see with the naked eye, you can just make it out at the right angle if you are looking very hard!

The strap. The Asso from Torro is really nice, started off very stiff, but after a day or so it loosened up, and now has a really nice feel and look to it. The odd little fray here and there, but I think it adds to the watch.

The lume. Pretty damn good.

And finally the wrist shots

One point here, I did plan on wearing this to work. However, as you can see in the wrist shot, it is a little tight under a cufflinked work shirt. So it ends up getting stuck on your cuff. I therefore don't wear to work, but that just gives me an excuse to start looking for my next watch! (thinking maybe a Rolex Milgauss or an Omega Aqua Terra - when they do a decent rep).

Hope this has been useful to someone. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dog.

Burn the frays lightly and add a light coat of vaseline to the stictches.

Blue LocTite on all screws is the first thing to do on all reps - incl. the CG

NOT movement!!!

Take out and LocTite the screws holding the Crown Guard (=CG) and the strap screws.

Don't overdo it - a very slight dab is all it takes...

Excellent taste!! Just so happens that I've ordered exactly this combination from Kuvarsit :)

Good to see that it wears that well. Can't wait to wear it myself....

I ordered that same strap and the pics don't do it justice. When you bend it, the colors really come through. Nice pictures!

Very nice! Did you get the Swiss movement or Asian movement?

Is the Swiss one worth the premium?
