PAM 519 Radiomir California Chrono - Mini Review & Photoshoot!

Recommended Posts

Hey Gang :D

Recently received, a rather splendid 519, my third Rad. This came from Tim who is a proper stand-up guy. Everything about dealing with Tim is superb. His comms and QC process are the best in the TD business. Totally faultless transaction and just 3 days to the UK with EMS . . . :D

I've still no idea why other TDs use extortionate DHL, with the chance of VAT and admin charges to the UK. EMS is brilliant IMNSFHO and just as quick, if not quicker most times . . . :boxedin:

Anyway, what a beautiful watch!

I'll let the pics do the talking, but this is a stunner. It's not for the picky fuckers who want to look at a rep PAM and point out the tells, but it is a fantastic looking piece on the wrist. It came with the shittiest rep strap ever made, but I pre-empted this by getting a proper ostrich leg strap from Victory Straps. They're in the UK and knock out some nice stuff. :D

This Rad has a beautiful Sea-Gull ST19 handwind movement, the crown works perfectly, as do the pushers and chrono, which snaps back to 12 at the touch of the 4 pusher.

Build is excellent, the case is finished in rose gold, and the dial is the real deal; a killer chocolate, California gig with excellent lume.

Enough bollocks, eh? :P

Pics:

First, I took some pics of the strap while Tim was weaving his magic. This came with a massive PAM Pre-V buckle which I didn't think suited this watch, so I trawled about and found a nice, understated RG buckle more befitting the elegant, dress accents.

Sweet watch Gaz - great pics as always, but small correction for you. The movement is not 6497 - its an Asian Lemania Copy / Venus Copy hand wind chrono movement. I am not sure what the actual numerical code is but still, just an FYI

None the less - despite any flaws, this thing is beautiful.

Thanks, but I did say it had an A6497 movement. As in an Asian copy of the Lemania . . . ;)

I wanted to write the same! :)

That's a Sea-Gull ST19, not a time/small second only 6497 / A6497 :)

And it's not an asian copy of the Lemania (which has very few to share with it apart from the general subdial design), but actually a modified Venus 75.

This is an A6497:
