MoveAlong 23 Posted May 5, 2015 TC today, popped in gen crystal yesterday. I've been thinking about getting the gen crystal. Tell me what you like about it versus the rep. I like that it is as good as it gets. My psychology just works like that. The main thing? The cyclops is stunning, just perfect. The gen crystal gasket is also a major upgrade. The TC gasket is not near as stiff or stout as the gen. That's why the retaining ring and crystal can come off of the watch when trying to pop off the bezel. With a gen gasket, or Clarks from what I've read, that won't happen. Is it worth north of $300 USD on top of around $200 USD for a gen bezel insert on a watch that only cost $550 to begin with? To many, no. To me, absolutely! I thought about going for the AR cyclops version but decided to be period correct and I'm very happy with the choice. To rehash, the TC crystal is very nice, but the gen is perfect. It all depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go...

dave47 6,552 Posted May 5, 2015 Monday, the start of a new week of interesting wristie shots from the mates. For me, this nice-looking Invicta MOP Diver (quartz) on leather strap I wear once in a blue moon. Yes, it's an attractive watch & not one of the hideous monsters Invicta has become quite famous. With its Yachtmaster like bezel and "Swiss Movement," it shows what the much-aligned Invicta is capable of producing. I just might wear another "normal" Invicta for tomorrow. (I have eight of them.) dave: ONE MORE:
