scope 3 Posted December 18, 2010 Here are the pics of the Yuki case which arrived in 5 freakin day. I've never been that lucky before. Note the He valve and I added a gen crown. Let me know what you think. Got a ways to go but just wanted to share some pics.

KBH 7 Posted December 18, 2010 Here are a few to compare it to. Notice the many different 4's on the bezel inserts. Great looking watch Scope. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...0&rid=15726
scope 3 Posted December 18, 2010 What is this costing you ? Not as bad as you might think. I had a datejust that I never wore. It had the 1575 movement needed for the build. The hopeful sale of the case and dial should cover the yuki case of around $500. I/m trying to purchase a gen braclet but it's not going to be cheap. The crown was $70 and the Dial and hands were sourced from Phong(who will haggle) for $250.00.You might think I'm crazy for using a gen for franken but for me a watch means alot more if you build it yourself. Great looking watch Scope. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...0&rid=15726 Thanks for the info KBH! My custom serial number would have matched the closest bezel but I chose to use my fathers birth date.It was his watch

scope 3 Posted December 19, 2010 Thanks for the great input. :drinks: Ihave started modding the case some. Drilled the lug holes, smoothed down the bezel, smoothed down all edges and started(slowly) modding the crown guard.Yuki is sending another bezel insert with a centered pearl. On a old cheap rep braclet until I score a proper one. scope 3 Posted December 22, 2010 I have aged the plexi and bleached the bezel. The pics makes the lume look yellow but it is actually a toasty light tan.Just need to source a braclet now.

killgarh 0 Posted January 28, 2011 Hi all ! Just have received a DRSD from a wonderfull dealer, she's great I have a few questions for you experts, Do the gen have non-solid midlink ? My bezel doesn't have click and is bi-directionnal, is it normal ? The bracelet have screws and not pins, I believe that in those days they used pins ? Thanks in advance ! Gen has hollow midlinks. It doesn't click and they are to be found with both Rivet and regular Oyster bracelets. The last one is the most common combination.
