mondeov6 0 Posted December 19, 2010 Had nothing to do so I decided to check e-bay out for some watches. I was looking for something to give away as birthday presents in February. I say I was quite lucky this time. I won these two watches at very nice prices! Only 40$ for the Parnis "Big Pilot" with grey dial and 32$ for the 50mm PVD Parnis Flightdeck (Quartz). The "Big Pilot" has the Asian Unitas 6497 movement. The normal price for a 6497 movement only is about 30$-35$ so I think these were a bit of a bargain. They will make very nice presents! Slim 0 Posted December 19, 2010 Not familiar with them but especially like the white dial model. It's a beaut!
mondeov6 0 Posted December 19, 2010 Not familiar with them but especially like the white dial model. It's a beaut! Parnis are "Homage" watches. The 50mm chrono (white dial) is a U-boat homage and the other one (grey dial) is a IWC homage. I have two Parnis watches that I bought earlier and they are very well built and nice watches. mondeov6 0 Posted December 19, 2010 32$ for the 50mm Parnis Flightdeck (Quartz)?!?!?!? WOW! how much was shipping? Please don't say Free. No... no free shipping but "only" 9$ each Standard Int'l Postage. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Parnis Flightdeck from Manbushijie for 60$ and I though that wa a decent price. But 32$... that is a bargain! Check this url out, there could be more bargains coming up.......... http://shop.ebay.co.uk/linglingwatches/m.html

turnipz 0 Posted December 20, 2010 I always found my parnis to be wound a little too tight, but a few shakes usually softens it up.
KeNnY 29 Posted December 20, 2010 great price for great watches ! I want to pickup some Parnis Big Pilot style but 6498 movement (decorated back) and also 60mm parnis Big pilot, WW2 style (btw this big version of big pilot has excellent lume , similar to C3 - only on automatic type of movement!) Member X 91 Posted December 20, 2010 I would highly recommend Parnis stuff for the price - all of my ones seem well put together, with only one having an issue with fogging inside
