for that money could you not buy a TC and make a franken??

Gen blue and gold dials Iv seen go on eBay fairly cheaply... Blue and gold inserts seem to go at a fairy cheap price aswell...

TC's using WM9 tooling/contacts no? So, theoretically his TT should be damn good.

WM9 TT head & Eurotimez bracelet, the one's that were gold wrapped bronze. They tested solid gold & even if you wore through the plating it would still look gold due to the bronze. Damn I wish I would've bought one. I'd sell it right now and profiteer like a boss! :bananarider:

Sorry I missed your point about TC tooling? In not aware of what toiling he or WM9 use??

Do you mean to say he uses the same people to make his products? So there fore making a TC TT would be as good if not better?

Yep. Basically, one school of thought is that TC is WM9 reincarnate.

i think what theyre suggesting is to buy a TC and just mod it to a 16613.

TC sells some parts for it..

TC 16613 Dial, $75

TC 16613 Hands, $25

TC 16613 Bezel Insert, $10

so as of now a TC 16610 = $500 + $200 for the parts. youre in a little over $700 after shipping and such.

Add to that a gen 16613 crown = $200 or so

the bracelet and bezel are where shit gets expensive if you want it to look good.

these can costs $100s.

plated options of course are much cheaper.

sell the 16610 TC parts. + $200

its not a cheap project but youd have probably the best 16613 rep possible.

if youre not too picky, i think theres a decent rep of it for around $250. it just has the purple-ish dial that everyone hates.

i think the TC and the WM9 dial have the purple-ish dial issue. id go with a gen dial if possible.

or

you could just get one of these and change your TC in to one.

To do it right you.need:

Gen; dial, hands, insert, crown, bracelet

Yuki; movement, DWO

TC; miscase, caseback, bezel assembly, crystal

That is the perfect franken but will run you $2.5k and you can pick up a gen for $5k so is it really worth it. I will have one one day but think for the money I may as well go full gen... For now I'm very happy with a standard TC v6 with a gen insert

on a budget, this one is really not that bad.

http://www.intime.co/rollie/1098-submariner-16613ln-two-tone-blue-dial-on-bracelet-a2836.html

it could def use some work but you can get a pretty good 16613 rep for the price of a TC imo.

Gen dial + Gen Datewheel + Gen insert = a pretty good 16613 rep for under a grand

I may be wrong but I thought the gen dw went in the wrong direction?
