PhillyRock 0 Posted May 24, 2015 After toiling away hour after hour, countless dollars spent on green leather, numerous attempts at trying to create the perfect 382 strap, I've FINALLY made one I'm happy with and does justice to the majesty that is the Panerai 382. I bought a British surplus WW2 field bag from eBay for $24, and decided to chop it up to craft a strap for the 382 because the color was so perfect. Everything I needed besides the thread was contained within the bag. I took two brass cotter pins and heated them with a torch to straighten them, added a little solder to the back to keep them closed. Used a true brass gromitt for the buckle hole keeping it simple. This is where I sourced the strap, And this is the result of persistence, blood, sweat and tears.
