Help - Pam 456 Winding but hands not moving to set time

Recommended Posts

mosquitos tweeter

Evening all,

So, my Pam 456 Special Boutique Edition has decided that it will let me wind it and the hands will follow time - but i can not actually set the time

Ive done some reading and searching with the hope of finding my own diagnosis but having drawn blanks i'm hoping some of you guys with knowledge of under the case-back might suggest potential causes.

thanks for your help

what you can pull out the crown? fuck me, that's revolutionary!

Ive got the crown guard off and tried moving the crown in increments but no hand movement.. taken the case back off but everything looks aok to my untrained eye.

if it wasn't winding then logic would give me an answer - but winding without the ability to move the hands is perplexing...

Hopefully somebody can solve the puzzle - or maybe your wit is as far as it goes ;-)

Sounds like the keyless works is jammed, is it pulling out with to a second position with a click?

I concur good sir ;)

(Hey that rhymes :giggle: )

One thing you can try first is to make sure that the stem release screw is properly tightened

If it is then the keyless definitely needs to be either reset or a part needs to be replaced

Not a difficult fix but it requires the dial to be removed and the proper tools / knowhow

Usually the yoke jumps the winding pinion because the set screw wiggles loose..

Good luck! Keep us posted :)

however, i cant hear any clicks along its journey

im off to read about key less works and stem screws and will let you know.
