Heres one I'm working on today for my Black Bay Bronze. 22/22 dirty chicken leg leather. I'm not sure whether to stitch this with chocolate brown to match the dial and bezel or a bronze brown to match the case once it patinas a bit...

So, I decided on the Chocolate Brown but it would not have mattered which I chose as the amazing texture and patterns in this leather seem to just swallow up the stitching and render it almost invisible. Seen here on my Black Bay Bronze which currently sits in a plastic bag with a smashed hard boiled egg as a patina experiment. Pics to follow once I'm happy with the level of patina.

You're going to make a strap from eggshells? Easy with the patination. :)

So after about five hours in the bag with the boiled egg the bronze has darkened some. It displays hues of blue and red but is overall evenly darker. These are a few shots under incandescent light as it's night now and no chance for any natural light shots. I actually like the way the colour tone changes as the light flicks over the case.

Judging by my other bronze watches which I have left to patina naturally a 382 and Zenith Bronze Pilot I figure I have accelerated the patina process by at least 6 months.

Cheers

Egg forced patina update after a few days and in better light. I love the red and blue hues in the bronze now.

Thanks Todd. It looks even better now it's a week and a bit in. Plus I have been leaving it by a window that faces the water.

I started a BIG BOYS 140x80 26/22 Blue Shark today. Not sure what colour to stitch it yet. It's on a triple layer of soft dark blue calf backing leather and runs at approx 5.5mm average.

Cut n Glue complete. Punch & Stitch tomorrow.

I went to visit my leather dealer today just to buy some thread to finish up a few orders and he had these really nice skins. Two types of green and a BIG orange toad skin and this magnificent vibrant blue Barramundi fish skin that's finished so well i couldn't refuse... Now once I'm back in action after the operation what to make????

Finished this special order. It turned out well and will look killer on a ceramic 508 with Sub buckle. I matched the ercu colour of the indices and hands with .6mm waxed natural thread.
