She’s a real beauty, and as you say incredible rare now!!

I was giving the 5227 a much needed clean today, always forget how beautiful this thing really is, I wear it every day to work and maybe I take it for granted!

Don’t see too many of these being uploaded, it’s the latest version and unfortunately it’s extremely thick, sourced it for a family member and he’s chuffed with it.

It's BP v.1 (the thinnest nautilus there was at the time) with MKf dial and hands. As they are far more superior than the BP v.1

Cracked out the 5107 for a rare appearance the other day, looks great on a brown strap...

@Glaude reminded me of this piece yesterday so decided to wear it for a change. THIS is what a Nautilus on strap should look like...

For all its flaws (of which there are many) this is one of the most solid and quality feeling watches I’ve ever owned, and the gen Patek strap just makes it even better!

Excellent, who cares about the flaws as long as the wearer like it ! Gen strap must have been costly, right ?

It was years ago and I can’t actually recall how much it was, but yeah I do know it was pretty expensive... so worth it though!

Camille Fournet makes OEM straps for Patek. Go that route, save some dough

Don’t know if CF make Nautilus straps?! Never asked to be fair, but if they do I’d imagine there not that much cheaper than a gen!

It's one of those "secret" savings tricks. The only difference being the Patek stamp at the back of the strap. Basically paying for Patek's QC.

Camille Fournet is also an OEM supplier of JLC.

When I was into PAM (up till 2014), Hirsch was the supplier for OEM PAM straps, including the Asso straps.

Oh I know CF are OEM Patek supplier that’s why I use them (chip them an email with you model reference number and they will tell you the specs of the gen strap so you can make sure you order the right thing), just never tried to get a Nautilus strap from them. I’d guess they would do it, just questioning whether it would be any cheaper than a gen off eBay!

They probably could. It's just a matter of fitting the connector link (no idea on the correct term) that goes on the strap... Sizing might need some adjustment.

It's the same pain the ass thing with the Royal oaks... I think they cost close to a grand on the gens (nuuuuttttts)

Anyway, unless it's the gold version of the Nautilus. I don't think the steel models look good on a strap. I'd save that 400-500 bux for another watch, or just count the cash saved

FYI, gun to my head, my guess for a custom 5711 strap order would revolve around 300-450 bucks on Camille Fournet. Slightly lower than Patek's retail packaging...
