BenjaminButton 149 Posted February 21, 2016 I had a 5131j that Ish sold me which he'd had for years, and although it was imperfect I do miss it, so decided to order the white gold version. It's still flawed but I think it will be stunning on a navy blue Camille Fournet strap with deployant clasp! Plus I plan to enhance it somewhat to be closer to gen! This is my "before and after" plan for it... So the hands should be white, that's easy enough, but the true character of the 5131 is the world map dial, that's what lets the rep down, so I plan on getting artistic with this one!!! _DC_ 218 Posted February 21, 2016 I haven't decided yet, I'm going to have a practice as I'd like to do the dial myself (will probably leave the hands to an expert like KeNnY) but I'm unsure what to use to get that glazed enamel look!! I do have an artistic streak, used to paint a lot as a child and more recently photo editing of a more artistic nature (anyone on Instagram check out DarkCompany, that's me, although I haven't posted in a long time as work has got busy)! For those not on Instagram here's an example of one of my pictures, this is probably my favourite, before and after (before is above obviously)... Gen Aquanaut straps don't fit rep Aquanauts without modding, so no not worth the cost and hassle, the rep straps are really nice. Message Fat Panda, he often finds me parts for my Pateks so might be able to source a replacement rep strap, or Toro he's usually good with spare parts too!!!
