Frankt8242 1 Posted June 14, 2015 If they are actually $358. that's waaaaaaay too much ..!!...Buy the $100. el cheapo, and wear it until you outgrow the "I gotta have the BEST "sub" version or I'll die" phase of repanalitis....Then sell the cheapo M to M, and buy something that virtually everybody on the friggin' planet wont automatically assume is a fake Rolex..!! Andylaw1919 386 Posted June 14, 2015 Let's rephrase the op question. Will you members research all trusted dealers and find me the best deal while I sit on my ass and eat bonbons? No I was actually wondering how much people paid for their V5.

Testomatic 0 Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) I wonder if i can resell the 0.00$ rep i didn t buy as a gen ? Edited June 14, 2015 by Testomatic
black263 228 Posted June 14, 2015 It's possibleto buy a rep and mod it to 99.99% accurate to the gen Rolex. Trouble is, to achieve that, you would have to spend more than a gen would cost. Bit like trying to buy all the parts to build a car. It would be about three times the price of buying the car in the first place. So you want the closest to gen on the market. We start with a Regmariner, that is pound for pound, the closest to gen you'll get for the price. You then work your way up through the various TD sales to BK and TC offerings, which are four times the price for a few percent closer to gen. After that you're into hundreds of dollars here for a gen crystal, a few hundred more for a gen dial, and so on until your franken has cost more than a second hand gen, and is still nowhere near. You have to accept that the concept of a 1:1 rep is a marketing lie that does not exist in real life. Read, learn, and decide at what price point you want to pitch your watch. Then buy accepting that it is a pretty watch, close to the original, but always identifiable as a rep. Live with it and be happy. Or walk away from reps altogether and also be happy. There is no centre ground.

black263 228 Posted June 15, 2015 Who currently has the cheapest v5 sub for sale? Also if you own one how much did you pay? That is a really good question. Now it gets asked many times, so do the research. Email all the TDs and put together the answer.. Then every time someone else asks the question, we can get them to pm you. It will make you really popular with the noobs, and get them off our back.
