I once had a newb ship me a watch wrapped in 2 or 3 paper towels in a f'cking envelope. It miraculously arrived unscathed.

Yeah no excuse for shit packing ,, just had a watch turn up from a TD on here in a plastic bag and a very thin jiffy bag ,,, bit surprised really ,, but I suppose as mentioned it looks less suspicious than a box,,

But as M2M sales go there is no excuse at all bubble wrap is so cheap and you can make a box if need be ,,,

I bought a gen Breitling Super Avenger and the box was just wrapped in a sainsbury carrier bag ,,, fucking unbelievable you could see the Breitling outer box through the bag !!!

I have to say very well packed, Had a outer bag that was covered in tape, Cardboard box super taped, polystyrene box super taped and the watch bubble wrapped also in a plastic bag! Great job Andrew and trusty time! Will review the watch this weekend but after 2 weeks arrived still ticking!

I sold one recently and the buyer asked me to put it in a box. I thought that was a given.

I told him I had planned to grind it into a fine powder and put it in an envelope, but since he asked I'll use a box.

If it is crossing an ocean, it is particularly appropriate to ship in a box, but generally always the right thing to do.

Depends on the watch and on the destination. Inside EU I usually send inside padded envelope triple-bubble wrapped so honestly it doesn't make any difference even if you try to play football with it. Just use common sense when packing. Toro always re-sends from Spain in padded envelopes without much bubble wrap, and I've never had an issue.
