chum_2000_uk 0 Posted December 30, 2010 Was just browsing for wrist shots of this watch on google (as I have ordered it off Mary) and I came across this: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/27724369/R_...hronograph.html Looks like someone paid R13,000 for this (around £1260!) without box or paperwork Check out the Tag logo on the dial - no arrow on the top of the 'G' a dead giveaway, definitely a rep! D'oh!
djprone 0 Posted December 30, 2010 looks like a good rep though, although i'm no expert. I would definitely not buy a gen without papers though - especially for that price!
Aren 27 Posted December 30, 2010 I would not have spotted the "G". Good catch on the photo. I would have asked someone knowledgeable to look at a watch for me... Most of you veteran collectors spot every detail. It is really unfortunate that someone got taken.

Most of you veteran collectors spot every detail. It is really unfortunate that someone got taken. I only noticed because of Onze's and someone else's reviews that mentioned it. Interestingly the pic they have taken of the crystal back shows silver screws - all the reps I have seen so far have blue screws, so either they have replaced the screws or used a pic of a gen from the back. Can't wait to get my rep of this watch. Hope its up to scratch as well.
MikeyMouseWatch 0 Posted March 10, 2011 I don't mean to bump-up old threads. But I came across someone with an awefuly close name (if not the same) selling a fake Rolex on Ebay not too long ago. We did get his listing pulled, but I think I'll try to pay even more attention in the near future. I'm no expert on this particular watch though.
