Pihlippe 1,279 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Have you experienced when winding the watch, the crown just returns? You can't wind your watch. The possibility that it's the click spring that has broken, is a high possibility I experienced this with my moonie and after some searching, I found a solution to do it myself. It's not very difficult, but some skills is needed. After lying unused for nearly a year, it's nice to have it repaired, eventually. Will try to explain with some pictures..... The broken spring The click springs I orderd from Otto Frei First the movement has to be removed Remove the start/stop lever and spring arm - the spring arm first By removing this screw, you find the click spring Find a spring that fits and mount in reverse order. Wola, you have a working moonie I did also regulate and waterproofed it,so now I allmost have a perfect rep Next is to freeze the hour counter at six....see this link for more info Cheers Edited July 18, 2015 by Pihlippe
processengr 13,422 Posted February 11, 2018 Wow! Happy I found this! My beautiful Cartel V1 vintage Rolex with St19 wont wind, springs back. I dont have a movement holder, could this be done in the watch body? Also, rather tahn order a gross of the watch springs, is there a specific Venus 175 spring I could order? I bought a pack of 100 click springs for clocks from Cousins. Took me about an hour to finally get it in place. Trial and error since I bought multiple sizes of springs. But I don't recall having to take much apart.
