redkafka 0 Posted July 11, 2015 Hello, I've bought and paid a watch in www.trustytime.ru 2 weeks ago. But still I got no QC pics and I emailed them but no response. I guess the site is copycat of trusty-time which is TD. So is there anyone who helps me to find out www.trustytime.ru. I am so worried as I might be ripped off by the scam site. :(
RichardMiami 4 Posted July 11, 2015 How did you pay? Paypal? Credit Card?
greg_r 81 Posted July 11, 2015 scam site - not the real Trusty Time. If you paid via card or PP do a chargeback - if not, then there's not much advice we can give.

thenoon 0 Posted July 11, 2015 Why do people not : A - read B - use the trusted dealer list I appreciate that most noobs ask for the best sub and generally meet with a mix of sarcasm and humour, however, they are usually nudged towards the sticky's in the end...i feel for the OP, however .....been here 3 months and not apparently read anything ??? loewenzahn 0 Posted July 12, 2015 redkafka, you're not alone…. a week ago I ordered at trustytime.ru, not knowing that the correct URL is twgtwg.com atm. Now I'm a new member here and m u c h wiser. :( (n.b. same as in your case: since payment no reply, nada)
JSJ 0 Posted July 12, 2015 Shit :( I used credit card. How can I do a chargeback? Anyway thank you all the advice above. I think today will be the saddest Sunday in my life. Talk to your credit card company, tell them you've been scammed.
BenjaminButton 149 Posted July 12, 2015 Shit :( I used credit card. How can I do a chargeback? Anyway thank you all the advice above. I think today will be the saddest Sunday in my life. This explains the chargeback system. http://www.choose.net/money/guide/features/chargeback-visa-mastercard.html But be clear about your claim. You need to be clear that after the fact you have realised this is a scam site. Obviously do not admit you were after fake goods in the first place!!
redkafka 0 Posted July 12, 2015 Thank you very much mates! I will definitely get a chargeback and use only TD TD TD.
loewenzahn 0 Posted July 16, 2015 (see my above post) - seems that an apology is due…. today I received a parcel from trustytime.ru, containing the watch as ordered. Since payment there was no further communication, no QC pictures but at least all came out well. Who'd have thunk?
trailboss99 996 Posted July 16, 2015 Came out well did it? What did you get and what did you pay?

loewenzahn 0 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Came out well did it? What did you get and what did you pay? May I post a link to the GMT Pepsi? A tad of nostalgia: www.trustytime.ru/replica-rolex-vintage-gmt-ss-bluered-bezel-jubilee-swiss-eta-p-9271.html I paid the 288 dollars he asks for plus $ 45 shipment to Germany. Though I ordered 'triangle' via UK he chose to send by DHL Express what surprisingly went through customs without any glitch. Well, workmanship on the watch is not the greatest - e.g. very tight bezel and sharp edges on bracelet and case - though for daily use it will do. JSJ 0 Posted July 16, 2015 Would be good to see the watch you received. The link is not allowed here because it's not a TD.

trailboss99 996 Posted July 18, 2015 Link comes out "Not found" Do you really think you got a Swiss movement for that price? You got scammed.
vinnychase1 44 Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) You need to call CC company right away and explain that you were buying some items from a well known web site and accidentally bought from a RU/Russian dealer. Now they have your CC number!mWatch your account very close. Edited July 18, 2015 by vinnychase1
loewenzahn 0 Posted July 19, 2015 Link comes out "Not found" Do you really think you got a Swiss movement for that price? You got scammed. The link has been truncated by an admin (greg_r). When you remove the slash pre www. plus adding an l to the .htm you'll see the watch I got. I never reckoned that the movement is a genuine ETA… I'm not that dense ETA reps' prices are starting much higher afaik. However, my post was not about the watch I received but more about the fact that I received it at all….
greg_r 81 Posted July 19, 2015 Link comes out "Not found" Do you really think you got a Swiss movement for that price? You got scammed. Accidentally chopped the 'l' from the end of the URL. Fixed now.
