samurai dave 7 Posted January 6, 2011 Hi there from the UK. I decided after the Christmas season to treat myself and somehow ended up looking at watches. I nearly fell into the trap of getting one from a flashy website but whilst I had all of my details in I decided to do one last Google of it and this great website came up and advised against it. So after a little while I decided to order from Robert and after 3 days of no reply I cancelled the order and place it with Lay instead. Mind you Robert replied in 5 mins of my cancelation so he did have my order he had just not contacted me for payment. Oh well. I have ordered a RL01511 ROLEX SUBMARINER CERAMIC SS BLACK ASIAN 2836 and have paid for it this morning so I am waiting now in anticipation of its arival. I will post pics when it comes for you to see. Once again what a great site, great info. Cheers

samurai dave 7 Posted January 8, 2011 Thanks for the welcome guys. I have a couple of questions and hope that you could answer them please. The watch I have ordered comes with a Asian Eta 2836-2 Automatic Movement, 25J, 28800bph I have looked on here and there is talk about the Asian 2836-2 rep but all of the movements I have seen on other Subs are only 21 jewel, is the 25j really that much better? If so why are other watches offered with this better movement? Will I need to get it serviced and at what intervals and where? Are there any general tips for looking after it, setting the time etc that I should be aware of? I have looked on here and am slowly working my way through all of the information but there is a lot to try and take in. Sorry if I have missed this information but I have a little bit of snow blindness from looking on here for most of the day. Thanks

Thanks Hi mate, if you go to the tutorials and reference sections, you'll find the answers to everything. I honestly think you'll be better going and reading them, than letting someone answer - mainly because when scrolling through everything you will find answers to questions you never even thought about asking. Its a wonderful place - i honestly spent days reading those sections of the forum! There is a keyword search box in every subsection to help you find what you need. nathan
