plankton 1 Posted August 1, 2015 What I have learnt so far after a couple of days of ownership: - Even the genuine article isn't perfect, the bracelet was squeeking and needed some dry lube - Rolex steel is sooo much better, stronger and resistant to scratching than the steel used in our reps. Yes, seems to not scratch nearly as easy.

Except to save the life of a loved one, no sane reason to sell a Big Red whatsoever.
rlx101 17 Posted August 5, 2015 all since sold on: What. The fuck. Tell me someone had a gun to your head forcing you to sell this. Please. haha yeah it was a beautiful watch, but looked better in the box than on my wrist. 37mm just didn't do it for me, so I never wore it The DRSD however, that one I do miss

When ( not IF ) I get a genuine vintage Daytona...especially if it is a (gasp) exotic dial Paul Newman, it will likely spend a good deal of its life in a safe deposit box. I will spend a good deal of my life visiting the bank regularly. Once a watch is over $100,000 Euro, I am reluctant to wear it.

If I was offered one watch to wear for the rest of my life, and only one, I wouldn't blink before choosing a Big Red. rlx101 - big ups to you for even owning one. So jelly. Dendo 93 Posted November 26, 2015 Want a DSSD - what should I be looking for? I am not so critical, pernickity, OCD... Cost is not as important as quality, reliability and re-sellability (if that word exists) if I change my mind - as most of you guys tend to do...... Gottahaverolex has given me some tips but Plankton is the man for DSSD right??
