Gmtaddict 1 Posted December 10, 2015 Good job mate (despite my fuzzy instructions )! Looks gorgeous! Now, like Gen owners, you can choose between croc and composite ☺
Godfathar 1 Posted December 11, 2015 Gmtaddict, yes your instructions were very fuzzy, but after getting my hands dirty, all things started getting together, and ended up successfully installing the new strap. thanks for the help mate
adamowski 0 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) So can anyone explain what is required to get a gen strap to fit correctly? Search results are not bearing and fruit. Edited February 6, 2016 by adamowski

Kleen™ 45 Posted February 7, 2016 Just a couple of pics that may help convince you to go gen... ...this reminds me: anyone know or seen any(thing about the) reps (allegedly?!) coming out with a microrotor mvmt...?
_DC_ 218 Posted February 7, 2016 ^^ Yeah they released a 5120 rep with micro rotor movement, that was it, no word yet as to whether it will find its way into anything else!! DC
WatchaholicMallorca 2 Posted February 11, 2016 Hi, I just ordered the RG Chrono from Perfectclones. Just wonderign how you mannaged to adjust the links to accept a gen strap? I've never modded before but think it's probably necessary with the leather straps... Thanks
Godfathar 1 Posted February 11, 2016 ^^ the end link needs to be modded, I got it modded by the previous owner to fit a gen PP strap.
_DC_ 218 Posted February 11, 2016 Also it's worth pointing out that a gen strap will fit an SW200 Nautilus with minimal modding, but I don't think the same is true with the chrono version. I've not seen a gen strap fitted to a chrono Nautilus, I don't think they are compatible. You probably need to go the bespoke strap route, where you send the endlinks to a strap maker and they build the strap to fit the endlink (that's what I did with my 5980r)! adamowski 0 Posted June 4, 2016 Let the fun begin!! Now on gen strap!!
seanieb 0 Posted July 10, 2016 My 5712 doesn't have the bit on the end links that protrudes into the strap, or the screw on the back that screws into the strap. Does this mean that it's more likely that a gen strap will fit since there would be no "lip" preventing the strap from fitting into the end link. The width of the end link is correct to fit a gen strap. Thanks for your thoughts.
