RXW Poseidon Cali dials - different versions?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I'm cross-posting this thread along with HF 'cos I'm impatient today  lol

So, prompted by boil's listings for sale of his RXWs on HF, I noticed the cali dial version on the RXW site:

http://www.rxw.jp/eng/poseidon/index.html

and for US$550 it seems a bargain - 10ATM WR, Anti-magnetic casing, superlume, sapphire, Dubuis leather strap, Swiss 6497 and 1 year warranty

But upon further investigation it appears to have bigger dial markers than previous versions?

These pics illustrate seemingly massive markers:

compared to an older version with orange rail track and smaller indices?

or an older (even older?) version with white rail track and smaller indices?

I much prefer the smaller markers, and with some bow tie hands it would look not too dissimilar to a PAM 249 which I lust after, bar a different crystal/bezel profile and a thicker case... lol

Can anyone confirm if there's been different versions? I'm extremely tempted to spend my current watch savings fund on the current one, but if it has massive markers I will perhaps hold off...

Thanks all! :lmao2:

hey, its a molnija with little stickers on it!

Nice case/back/dial - how much? Can it be had without the movement, just the case set and dial?

I fear Baldrick's pic is now merely a TTK relic of history!

Oh, and thank you KBH for moving this after I posted the thread in the wrong forum! ;)

Correctomundo, just like JohnG, a relic, but with no history

Nope, there were no Molnijas with Rolex decals back in TTK's days, that is a new pic.

How much man?

They were around...I've seen a handful of them in the 1st-generation era Silix cases, circa 2007/2008. DSN also had them around this time period.

You must be one of those forum 'experts', yes there were, check the exif data on the photos, not a new photo at all. B)
