Piloten 332 Posted August 20, 2015 I recently made two orders to two different dealers. One is going just fine. The other was made to Manbushijie, to try to take advantage of a sale. After a couple of weeks with no communication, I sent an email and got a response back. "Item sent today, this is your tracking #" Two more weeks have gone by and neither EMS nor Canada Post have shown any result to the tracking number and the proprietor is not answering emails. It is possible that all is well and simple mis-communication but it isn't looking good. I will post updates as they become available. -John

Piloten 332 Posted August 20, 2015 Why haven't you just ordered from our TDs? Doesn't smell good imho : o Heh. That is the other transaction and it is going just fine. I had not seen the TD list when I made the nervous transaction. I have ordered from him before and it went a lot smoother than this.

BadPickle 2,807 Posted August 20, 2015 I've ordered from them before, a long time ago now, I do remember it took an age to get to the UK, probably the reason why I've not purchased since. Hopefully just one of those crappy postal experiences we all have from time to time, Keeping fingers crossed for you john

Left Coast Guy 25 Posted August 20, 2015 I've seen manbush...whatever around, so I don't think they are a total scammer, but probably lumped in that category of folks with generally shitty service so maybe categorized as negligent not fraudulent. I'd guess you get your watch eventually...
luv2flyjrn 6 Posted August 20, 2015 Sometimes shipping takes forever and I have seen some shipping companies not scanning or updating their tracking in a timely manner. Good luck
greg_r 84 Posted August 21, 2015 Manbushije isn't a scammer, but he's rather known for poor communication and generally being a bit less consistent than we would like - which is why we haven't invited him to be a dealer here. Having said that, I'd expect you to get your watch in due course.
bakou 0 Posted August 21, 2015 Thanks for the info, i was about to buy a skeleton movement from him. Did you buy your watch from his website ou ebay or aliexpress ? ( this guy Manbushijie is everywhere )
UmpaHimself 223 Posted August 21, 2015 I bout a radomir and 44mm 1950's homage from him years ago before I found RWG. They weren't very good and the service was slow but everything came as described. Thankfully it clicked in my mind that if they were making these homages they had to be making replicas too and after a bit of searching I landed here. Hope all arrives safe but if not, there is plenty here to choose from
andyboy 5 Posted August 21, 2015 Anything with "manbush" in it's name I would not trust :lmao: They are a major supplier to all the Rep factories. Of Pubes
Piloten 332 Posted August 21, 2015 Thanks for the info, i was about to buy a skeleton movement from him. Did you buy your watch from his website ou ebay or aliexpress ? ( this guy Manbushijie is everywhere ) Neither one. It was purchased directly from the website. I was callously taking advantage of a sale. I completely expect the movement to be --at best-- a parts source but I wanted the case
MetalMickey 179 Posted August 21, 2015 As Greg says, Manbushijie is legit but well known in the gen forums for poor comms and slow service. Like our TDs he often gives tracking numbers before posting so they take a while but unlike our TDs it can take weeks, sometimes months, to get your order. BigsCG 0 Posted August 22, 2015 Hey John! my guess is they got the electronic transaction complete so they can send out the tracking number but wait and send all their packages out in bulk at the same time. I've bought a couple things from this guy through ebay and his store. It seems it's all about timing or maybe how many orders are being processed as far as how quickly you'll receive it? FYI - was not impressed with the hands I bought but the case was pretty good
Piloten 332 Posted September 19, 2015 On the two month anniversary of paying for my order, I sent him an email and he replied: "Order sent and tracked to country. We wait some more days ok"
Piloten 332 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) So. Officially not a 'scam'. A notice arrived. "Package ready for pickup" blah blah. Closing in on three months but hey. I have to get a picture and post it. In the package was a watch on a strap, with the hands laying loose inside the crystal. I thought "crap, how hard did the postal, etc, shake this package up?" but that was not the problem. The problem was the movement, as in, there is no movement. Good thing I mostly wanted the case . . . Edited October 12, 2015 by Piloten
Sakurai 1 Posted October 12, 2015 What, he sent you a complete watch minus the actual fucking movement?? That ought to at least qualify as a semi-scam, regardless if you were buying it primarily for the case or not. Yes you definitely have to post a pic!
