Gazzla 23 Posted September 13, 2015 Hey Gang As you Seiko aficionados will know, the Grand Seiko is a proper watch. Properly proper. Made in Japan by proper people with meticulous precision using properly engineered materials. No pubes. Not knocked together by Chinese kids paid in fags. Unfortunately, Seiko want proper money for these fantastic pieces. So, whilst I save my pocket money for the real deal I went in search of 'Grand Seiko Lite'. 'Lite' being of similar, iconic design, but for a fraction of the dough. And here it is. A Seiko SRP701K1. These were released about 6 weeks ago and have only just come to the global market and at a fraction of the price of a GS. Auto movement, SS polished case with a decent polished midlinked (is that a word?) SS strap and a killer, white dial that positively shimmers in the light. The markers and hands are super quality sharp. Oozes quality. Very impressed with this. Is it a keeper . . . well, you know what I'm like . . . :P Enough bollocks, eh? Pics! Scroll down for new strap pics! And on new black leather. The first one is an OEM calf with shaped lug ends with plastic inserts; embossed croc and deployant. The second a teju lizard embossed calf from BOB: Teju lizard: Gaz
