Favorite Watch EVER

Recommended Posts

blancoMatto

I have spent in the region of £50 and £600 on replicas over the past 3 years. However I must say that my favorite Rep I have ever bought was from Reg (Narikaa). It's a 31mm Rolex Datejust 31mm on a jubilee bracelet with a silver diamond dial in stainless steel casing. Now this watch is on the cheaper side of the scope that I have spent on reps but I prefer it to my Hublot V5 Big Bang!

So I guess on this slow day in the office... What is the best rep you have ever bought? Doesn't have to be the best movement wise or anything like that... Just the watch that you have enjoyed the most.

:D

TC rouge, AP Diver, Blancpain FF - I was expecting them to be stunners - and they are.

The ones that totally surprised me are the BP Seadweller, IWC Fa. Jones and the ease of wear, toughness, assembly quality and reliability of the Cartel 5512 with some cheap add-ons from Rafflestime and Cousins.uk. As it often goes with 50 year old watches nothing is original anymore, all mixed up parts. Almost always on the wrist now:

Although there ARE several, my all time fav is the Rolex Sub 116613LG w/ A2836 motor. (blue and gold)

Has, which kind of wrist do you have?

I am around 7.7inches and the 40mm rollies are perfect as like as the 44 pams. While 47 are my upper limits I would say...

How big is that crazy complicated Seiko you have?

Haha!

I've never liked Rollies and bought the V5 out of curiosity really. :P

I have 7.5" wrists and I assume the 'crazy complicated Seiko' to which you refer is this, the Astron, which is 44.6mm. Perfect:

Bell&Ross 02-94, unbelievable bargain from one of Toro's Christmas specials, although I got it C&R from a member here, bought it on the day pickle junior was born and its been my regular day beater (excluding work) ever since :D Needed a trip to tinkertown for a tweak from ROLIE, but apart from that it been a good friend.

"Aftermath" PIC from the last Glasgow gtg, peroni and peanuts for supper ;)
