Gazzla 23 Posted October 4, 2015 Hey Gang Most of us here have at least one genuine watch and there are some bargains to be had if we look hard enough. Your best* gen watch that cost under $500? *Best = Value for money, wearability, looks, etc etc I have a few nominations, but I'll kick off with these: Prometheus Piranha black and yellow dial. Excellent watches and fantastic value for money. Gaz

greg_r 81 Posted October 4, 2015 Well, this would be in the running: But really, there can be no contest - my Victorinox feels like a watch costing ten times what I paid for it - and is the primary reason I've managed to resist buying a gen Breit SOH

Cannibal 0 Posted October 4, 2015 I had to dump my pbucket account (fucking stalker of an ex-wife)... but two good brands around the $500 mark are Gruppo Gamma and Magrette! I have two Magrettes and one GG... fantastic watches with killer lume and water proof depth ratings.

cogwatch 1 Posted October 4, 2015 Oi!!, so many choices. Here are a couple of options that I have pics for. A few more I have but don't have pics for are already shown above (Blue Monster, Prometheus Piranha yellow dial). Can't pick just one "best" as all of these have the "value for money, wearability, looks, etc etc" criteria in my mind. Steinhart OVM Victorinox (seconding Greg's choice) G. Gerlach Otago Bulova Precisionist (smoothing sweeping second hand anywhere) Obris Morgan Pradata Obris Morgan Explorer Original Black Monster with Di-Modell Chronissimo Strap Seagull 1963
