Bluenose 6 Posted October 8, 2015 I bought this from Jackson about 3months ago now, So a manual 6497 movement housed in a 45mm rad polished case. I requested for a gold hand version as I thought this would complement the cali dial better. Once I received the parcel and opened it with anticipation......well, I wasn't quite sure, the dial numbers were a little greener than expected. I know that jackson photo's are the most 'vibrant', I had no complaints with the watch, the crystal front and back, case, winder and movement were all perfect. Just the dial didn't hit the spot! Nevertheless I wore the watch on and off in the house for about a month, and then start to appreciate it more and more. At this point I put it onto a new strap that I had in the draw for about a year, which I didn't went with any of my other watches. Its a super soft leather with a kind of vintage look. I think it really compliments the watch...... .....and now I think it’s great. So for less that £70 inc a new strap, I've a cracking watch
Bash64 17 Posted October 10, 2015 Actually, one of my favourites. I actually like that 45mm case better than the 47's. And the dial/hands/strap combo you've chosen looks fantastic. I have a case I am sitting on and you have given me motivation to finish it. Nice!
Daywatch 4 Posted October 10, 2015 Looks great, I have one of those 45mm with the nice sandwich dial from Getat (which I ruined when trying to have running seconds at 9) and someday also have to get back to the caseset to fit the normal dial and start using it. I'm going to read up some more, get brave and maybe try a build of my own!
Haltec 0 Posted October 10, 2015 @OP Since is handwind - guess crown is not screw in type? Any gaskets / o-rings there? Very nice overall. Maybe just tiny bit too green for my taste...

Crown is screw in. Has couple of positions for winding and setting time. No o rings that I can see. Was or is a greener than I anticipated, although either I've become more adjusted to it or it has slightly dulled. Might look at a dial change in the future
Haltec 0 Posted October 10, 2015 Thx. And regarding a dial - maybe try to vintagize it? There is lot of thread how to. (Diy -"coffee" and other methods)
