imranbecks 511 Posted November 30, 2015 I've received the qc photos for the watch earlier today. Approved them and it should be shipping out soon. Will post photos and maybe even do a review of it once I've received it. Cheers!
NicholasShelton 0 Posted November 30, 2015 Honestly I prefer the Aqua Terra they used in Skyfall. This watch is trying too hard to look like the Rolex Sean Connery wore in Goldfinger - it even has the same stripes on the strap!

sirlordcomic 0 Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) I have left my gen NAto in the box. Imran - did you see how bad the inner ring really is? Now I'm really suprised, if I didn't have the gen, I would go for the standard 300 MCO because of this. Edited November 30, 2015 by sirlordcomic
imranbecks 511 Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) I have left my gen NAto in the box. Imran - did you see how bad the inner ring really is? Now I'm really suprised, if I didn't have the gen, I would go for the standard 300 MCO because of this. Yes indeed i have. I mentioned it previously in my other post here. The bezel inner ring is thinner on the rep. A pity coz they got it so right on the standard rep of the sm300. Whoever did the bezel like that for the rep must've been blind. Like seriously. Its so obvious. Until they do another one with a more accurate bezel, this current one will do for me... I'm fine with it. I will probably try to brush down the bracelet myself. As for the Nato, I already have the gen Omega Nato, so I can put it on this Spectre rep. Provided it's with a lug width of 20mm, then it shouldn't be a problem. If you buy the nato separately from an AD, then it's still not exactly the same as the spectre model. It only has omega engraved. The spectre watch has omega engraved and also 007 on another bar. Like I mentioned before, I don't really care about the 007 logo on the keeper of the gen LE Omega nato so I much prefer the standard gen Omega nato that I got from the boutique. I can live without it. But thats probably just me. As much as I am a big Bond fan, I don't like wearing watches with the 007 logo out there in the open be it on the dial or on the strap. Its bad enough the huge 007 logo is on the clasp of the SS bracelet.. The regular gen Omega Nato strap.. Free of any 007 branding... Much preferred :-) Edited November 30, 2015 by imranbecks
sirlordcomic 0 Posted December 1, 2015 I posted comparison shots that were rushed, and I didn't notice until now how different it really is. Regarding the 007 clasp, I have thought about ordering the standard one. Still, I'd probably keep the clasp the watch was issued with. Also part of me thinks it's silly to replace; I like subtle but that's how the watch was issued and unless I had not gotten this at a great price I might have the standard MCO 300 instead. The bracelet is out of this world and I'm still curious if it is listed for sale via ADs. Rega
MrSwinderman 0 Posted December 1, 2015 Any ideas on v2 yet??? Haha I really want this but that bazel is so bad
northantsrich 1 Posted December 2, 2015 I would personally buy the normal version of the watch on a gen nato. You get the same look but it's more practical and looks more obvious to be a gen in my opinion
Gazzla 23 Posted December 2, 2015 looks more obvious to be a gen in my opinion And who's going to know? The bird at the checkout? The bloke behind the bar? FFS . . . :dunno:
Daywatch 4 Posted December 2, 2015 The practical Diver on my 15,- Euro Supreme XL Bond Nato-strap from Miro´s time (with far superior quality, shine and length compared to what You get from Amazon - without the Omega lettering). Omega is just making a fortune by charging what they do for that NATO. I doubt on the wrist You notice any difference, You have to twist the wrist to a position You can´t read the time to even see the lettering (look at the 3rd pic). Jayums 2 Posted December 2, 2015 looks more obvious to be a gen in my opinion And who's going to know? The bird at the checkout? The bloke behind the bar? FFS . . . :dunno: ^ this If anyone is savvy enough to spot the bezel inaccuracy, they will also spot about a half a dozen other tells. Agree that the bezel doesnt quite look right, but then it is about 5 grand cheaper than the gen. If you're going to wait around for a flawless rep version, good luck with that! Pp4811 0 Posted December 2, 2015 The v2 appears to be listed on perfect clones website. Looks much better, the nato has 007 logo on the keeper. The bezel ring looks better (to me anyway!)
imranbecks 511 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Yeah. Just saw it at Perfect Clones. Still underwhelmed by it. Even with the correct engraved parts on the Nato, they still can't get the finished look of the gen Omega Nato strap. They still can't get the look right. The weaving is totally different on the gen strap. It's still a cheap looking strap with just the Omega engraved metal parts added. If that is indeed the V2, I'm so glad I didn't wait for it. I tell you what, this rep will look fantastic with the gen Omega Nato strap.. Here is the gen Omega strap on my PO... Can't wait to put it on my Spectre Seamaster once I've received it! The practical Diver on my 15,- Euro Supreme XL Bond Nato-strap from Miro´s time (with far superior quality, shine and length compared to what You get from Amazon - without the Omega lettering). Omega is just making a fortune by charging what they do for that NATO. I doubt on the wrist You notice any difference, You have to twist the wrist to a position You can´t read the time to even see the lettering (look at the 3rd pic). Hahaha.. Thats what I thought at first. That all changed when I went to the boutique to have a hands-on on the strap. The feel and quality is very different from all the other Nato straps out there in the market. I ended up getting it and the rest is history. Don't regret it one bit. Great quality and I won't be touching other Nato straps after handling the Omega one. Believe me, there is a difference in both looks and feel. I recommend you go to the boutique and get a feel of it. Its very different, great weaving and extra comfortable around the wrist. If I can describe it in words, it has a smooth seatbelt like finish to it, looks glossy, neither too soft nor stiff, but very durable. Can't really describe it until you feel the strap for yourself. Top quality from Omega! Edited December 3, 2015 by imranbecks
imranbecks 511 Posted December 5, 2015 I received mine last night from Chazing Time. It looks fantastic! Some pics to follow... I'll try to take better pictures when I have the time and when there is better lighting because its night time here now and I'll be working over the next few days. For now, enjoy! On the gen Omega Nato strap... Its made for the Nato! Casino Royale vs Spectre

Andy-B 0 Posted December 9, 2015 Just spent £30 ordering a NATO/Zulu/G10 whatever you want to call it from Toro. Don't know if I'd be sufficiently convinced to buy the OEM at £150 however - that's 2/3 the price of the watch to which it'd be fitted!

dfq23 131 Posted December 18, 2015 The 5 on the bezel on the v1 is totally wrong. Looks like it's also been updated on the v2

youknowmyname007 0 Posted January 11, 2016 This is where I bought mine from. It has a Swiss movement and the bezel looks accurate. Keeps fantastic time. Only drawback is that it doesn't have hacking movement.
